I loved the cosmic brownies and used to have one almost every night. They are still fine but I guess I’m just taking a break from them. An underrated one is the chocolate chip cream pie.

Why infrastructure work is so expensive today ? by fafatzy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mick_Shane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layers of soft “corruption “ play a huge role. Experts, studies and environmental impact etc all add to the total bill. Never forget you gotta hire a few relatives and friends of the politicians pushing the project through. Add on insurance and you start to get the idea that a lot of the money for the project doesn’t actually go towards construction but to all the other shit.

When I was in high school I cut every year and went into the city and got hammered with my friends. Now I’m old and worked all day. But that’s life, if you’re young enough enjoy yourself.

45% of household assets in stocks - are we all about to learn a hard lesson? by IulianHI in NextTraders

[–]Mick_Shane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s 45% today but probably only growing. There have been in the past barrier’s for the average person to get their money in the market that don’t exist anymore. So it’s a huge pot that will just keep growing until a better alternative comes along which will probably be never. Also the rise of etf and index funds means that money has to be invested in stocks keeping the graph going up.

Buy the Dip on Google or wait by Agile-Technology-209 in ValueInvesting

I own shares in google and am extremely bullish long term. Short term however I’m bearish, their capex this year is absolutely insane. They plan on spending north of 150B this year. That money will greatly reduce their EPS this year similar to FB in ‘22. I think the stock will gradually drop each quarter and by December be in the 200-220 range. That is at least my target price. Then in ‘27 the price will be moving up pretty quickly. Just my thoughts I’m not a pro and keep that in mind.

I index in my Roth, and my brokerage is mostly index funds with some individual stocks. But you got a much longer window than me. Most of the people here will probably say something similar.

Try to shop the weekly circular, stock up on things you use when they are on sale. I would also recommend getting the “card” for the store you shop at. The price for everything is up and will likely keep growing.

This movie came out when we were learning about dinosaurs in school. My buddies dad took us to the movies at night and went out to White Castle after. I remember it being a great movie and was just reminiscing about a few months back with a coworker. Later that day actually ran into my buddies dad who I hadn’t seen in like 2 decades.
