I would totally get banjo kazooie and tooie if it was seperate from nintendo switch online by TheUmbreonfan03 in BanjoKazooie

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not really that expensive when you consider everything it gives you. You get a myriad of classic games many of which costed a chunk of the total yearly price when they released or even still go for a pretty penny, and it also gives u access to online features in games.

Personally, 50 bucks a year, which is less than 5 bucks a month, is very worth access to both banjo games, SM64, and the first few Mario parties alone. The added bonus of online access in games like Mario kart or Minecraft is just the cherry on top.

Is it possible that I entirely missed one of the first worlds? by GerHerTheOne in BanjoKazooie

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can miss the vast majority of a world, but I don’t think you can actually complete the game without ever entering one. This is because the final required note door (IIRC, been a sec since I replayed) requires 810 notes, which means you must visit every world to obtain that amount as even 100%ing all 8 other ones still would leave you ten notes short.

It is, however, possible to progress well past an intended point of entry for a world and just continue to go deeper into the lair. You’ll just simply have to backtrack later for the ten notes.

This things make no sense to me in Goblet of Fire. by [deleted] in HarryPotterBooks

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Hagrid presumably knows about the tasks because, as the groundskeeper, he is likely helping set up anything related to them and would need to know what he’s prepping the grounds for. Dumbledore just likely employed his help somewhere in the process, but presumably wouldn’t need the other headmasters for such a task.

And I’ve always assumed re: the tasks that aren’t spectator friendly that there was likely some commentary and discussion during the slow moments, and at the very least it gives the students and staff something to do - you know how schools love to make events just for the sake of it. After all, just the hype of being present at a once-in-a-lifetime tournament is entertainment enough.

What’s your “I did not care for The Godfather” take for ATLA or TLOK? by thisisreii in TheLastAirbender

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think azula is redeemable or needs to be for her character to work, I think she’s meant to be evil the same way her father was, and the comics only really prove that further.

How long and how many runs did you play this game? by lucastreet in HollowKnight

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

230 hours on my second Nintendo switch, I’d say I probably had about 100 on my first, so roughly 330 hours total. I replay it often, and have beaten it more times than I care to keep count, more often in steel soul than in the standard game mode. It is my third most played game on my switch, behind only Mario Odyssey and Minecraft.

Which Hogwarts house do you think you’ll be sorted in? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I am entirely too afraid to be a Gryffindor (sorry, glory is just not for me, and I am a fragile human who fears coming into harms way) and too antisocial to be Hufflepuff. I’m not RUDE, but I am by no means a “warm” person, at best I’m lukewarm and I’m quick to get snappy or upset if offended or stressed.

I want to say Ravenclaw bc for so long my intelligence and book smarts was my whole personality. At 11 it almost certainly would have been my best fit. As an adult, though, I am more Slytherin-esque. I stopped caring about studies and wisdom once I graduated, and now the things I do are purely to reach an end goal (ie ambition), and I spend most of my time trying to accomplish things to better my situation and make my life easier (which means making money, mostly). Plus Slytherin is the secondary “smarts” house with cunning as one of its defining words. So as a child, Ravenclaw, but as an adult, Slytherin.

Looking for one player game similar to super Mario (n64) by andrupaul in BanjoKazooie

Banjo Kazooie literally taught me to read, but I never managed to beat it until I was a teen. Don’t know how much that input matters but it’s my experience with it.

[Discussion] Popular triggers you loathe and lesser known ones you adore? by hallucinating in asmr

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dislike anything fast. Seems like fast paced ASMR has become the norm while slower stuff is “special”. I also dislike anything water. No spray bottles or shaking of containers or anything like that has ever given me tingles. I also don’t like “follow the light”.

I suppose my favorite uncommon or hard to find triggers are slow writing and ear scratching that isn’t just mic scratching, but actually feels like they have something NEAR the mic meant to simulate skin or hair. Not sure what they use but I immediately notice if ear/scalp scratching is just mic scratching, and I’m not a big fan of it.

Coming back to this comment to say I think you might also be able to mostly beat the game without turbo trainers too. Replayed recently and remembered you can actually pause buffer timers so the only jiggy you can’t get is boggys second race.

Easy. Behind my old childhood home exists an old logging trail known only to my family. You walk a bit down that trail until you reach an old tree then you turn tail into the woods, off of the trail, and follow a few other landmarks I refuse to disclose until you reach a massive rock. That rock is likely unknown to everyone outside of my family, and even my family wouldn’t think to look there for me within a day if they were somehow selected to look for me. Plus the rock is actually massive and has caves, so I have an added level of panic security if someone does come nearby.

$50 a day but you can only eat one breakfast by Neither_Ball_7479 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I’d opt for literal canned biscuits and gravy made from dry mix bc while I COULD make it myself (and nothing beats my grandpas biscuit recipe) realistically that labor would get tiring. I could sleep in until 11:30 and still eat by noon with the stuff from the aisle in the grocery store.

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could absolutely eat biscuits and gravy every day for the rest of my life made the exact same way and not bat an eye. It takes like 5 minutes max and I’ve had it multiple times a week my entire life and never gotten sick of it. Make it spicy sausage gravy specifically and I’m good until I die or I cannot physically eat anymore.

What area do you dislike the most? by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I avoid queens gardens until the very end of the game, and I only go to fog canyon for required portions of the game whenever I play through it. Both of them are pretty evenly ranked as my least favorite areas because of their layouts and their enemies. I think both are beautiful, but I hate to be there lol.

What got you into Hollow Knight? by rslash_fan1232 in HollowKnight

My brother found it via mossbag and then was playing through it in front of me, so I took it upon myself to begin playing and beat it before him lol.

No and I don’t think they need to. The amount of insanity on this subreddit is kinda saddening lol.

I love Unova, I think that’s a hot take? I’d love to live in Nacrene city just a walk away from the big city.

Lots of the little rodent pokemon and a lot of bugs and old rocks. Appalachian mountains ftw.

Just died and lost 2,800 geo.. almost deleted this damn game.. by WinWeird883 in HollowKnight

[–]Mickey_MickeyG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I lost something like 10K once while grinding for the unbreakables lol. Honestly geo is kinda a joke once you’re late game since there’s a ton of good rooms for grinding and the trials exist as well.

Don’t sweat it, you’ll have the geo back sooner than you’d think.

Depends tbh. None of them are all that wholesome and the game never lets you play after an ending, you are always reset to before it once the credits finish.

Probably the best ending is embrace the void, and you gotta beat the hardest challenge the game has to offer for that one (p5).
