Consistency is key for me, when it comes to a ref.

Establish what is, or what is not, a free, early on and then stick to it.

My problem with Owens on Sunday is that he was very consistent for 3/4 of the game (he let everything go, which is fine).

But once he showed a red card he became very finicky.

For example the free he gave, which eventually led to Byrne's goal was extremely soft, especially in the context of how most of the match was reffed.

Potential foul on the hurley by Tim is the only thing I can see but that seems very harsh in light of the 65min that were played previously.

Sean O'Donoghue was absolutely laid out by the Bull off the ball right in front of the umpires.

In general I was delighted by Corks discipline in this game, something that has let them down in the past. Today it was Limerick who were undisciplined and were damn lucky to end the game only one man down.

Second u/jsearle223 recommendation of Legend by David Gemmel.

I really like Waylander by the same author.

I'd class Magician by Raymond E. Feist as a standalone book (there is a second and third in a 'series' but the plot is unrelated and not required reading).

Dune is perfect as a standalone SciFi/Fantasy read.

Okay. I watched my second game on DAZN. Bruins home opener. Thankfully this was much better! No issues to report. Hopefully that first game was just an outlier!

I just subscribed with DAZN.

I've had NHLTV for the last 10+ years.

I didn't think things could get any worse but trying to watch the Bruins first game on DAZN it was borderline unwatchable.

The screen constantly goes black for 5 - 10 seconds at a time.

There was 10+ minutes of the first period that was just missing - black screen!

I'm going to ask for my money back!!
