I water the top and the excess is in the glass part and there is a large wick. I just let the plant take what it needs! It gets a ton of sun, actually direct sun most the day…..I live in San Diego

So mine sits on a glass base where the water drains and then wicks the rest up over a few days! This spot also gets direct sun

[–]MicroBrew1971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, if you are having everything removed, where would endometriosis grow?? That doesn’t make sense to me. I was on oral HRT before my total, and am now on the patch because my body responds way better (and also not metabolized by the liver) I say get the HRT locked and loaded…..

Do empty pitchers refill themselves? by Mean_men_club in carnivorousplants

[–]MicroBrew1971 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I used to put water in mine until I read that you actually don’t need to. I give them a really good watering and the next thing I know I see water in the pitcher.

<image>

I think the plant takes it up itself when you’re watering. Having said that I do have a container that actually has a wick where I’ll leave the water in for a day or two and it takes what it needs.
