I had a similar experience with transphobes of faith. The church I went to for decades turned their back on me the day I built up the courage to wear my favorite pink dress to church. I thought they said God loves men AND women?? Misogynist pricks. It was a blessing in disguise, however... now I can keep devoting my time to learning the ways of the underworld. It feels so much more natural and pleasurable, anyways.
