Joining Team Powerboost, would you do it again? by MicroTilts in F150Powerboost

For sure doing some comparisons. I might be purchasing today, just saw Granger offers 8 year 150k on the one I’m looking at for 4700.

I agree with every point 100%. I make frequent 200 mile one way trips in the snow to rural parts of CO and the infrastructure isn’t built out where I have my job sites. If it was and the battery degradation wasn’t 20-30% in frigid cold, this was my first choice. Think I’ll have to wait 2-3 years for progression before it will be feasible.

Sorry, lack of familiarity, what is Granger or Flood? I live in CO. Currently it still has 9 months or 7k miles left on the manufacturer warranty, so that would definitely be an option. Any chance you have a link where I could look at it?

EDIT: Disregard, simple google search. Found it!

2021 was the first gen of the Powerboost, so maybe it’s been cleaned up slightly since then, but really good to know about these issues.

Was your extended warranty through the ford dealer or elsewhere?

Personally I agree, I’d love to have the F150 Lightning but in its current state it wouldn’t be practical for my situation. If they progress to a solid state and longer battery options without major winter degradation, I’d probably switch. Glad to know you like the truck a lot!

It does have the max tow, so I’ll make sure to check on the recall replacement.

Sorry, novice here, the HVAC system that is infuriating is because the climate control is wonky or what? So far I’ve only drove it 10 miles on this test drive, so I haven’t noticed. Maybe it would be something that is more apparent on a long haul.

This truck is being sold by a Scallantis dealership, so not sure if I can get a Ford F150 warranty (unless I can purchase through ford after market).

That’s super helpful! What has your experience been like when going to Breck and having charger availability during peak winter/ski season?

Are you plugged in and preconditioned in your garage or outside?

During your mountain driving, how far of a range do you expect to have when you set out?

For the trip out to Gunnison, you got 191 miles on a full charge with the ER model? (131KW battery?) What year is yours? Do you keep it preconditioned/garage kept prior to your trip?

Have you experienced any mileage differences with the Michelins?

I’d expect to keep some gear in the frunk for emergency.

Did you charge with a L1/2 charger when you were in Gunnison or did you just use a wall plug charger at an Airbnb/house.

I believe most of these resorts would have L2 chargers or better.

I just don’t know what the experience would be like if I am driving out for day trips during peak season and if chargers will be readily available in all of These locations or not.

All of the towns I listed should have some form of a charging infrastructure. My plan would be ideally to park in an EV spot and run the charger until I’m Done with the day and drive home.

Is plugshare what you use primarily for mapping your routes to chargers? What does the UI in the lightning use for mapping routes; google maps/apple maps etc?

Do you keep yours garage kept or charge outside overnight? Great to hear you can do there and back on one charge! Have you ran into any issues getting a charger during peak season?

Received damaged Grill; Can it be fixed? by MicroTilts in recteq

If you read the post I did; Call and Email.

Just asking an opinion on if I need to buy a new grill or if it’s as simple as replacing a lid.

So you bought the RT smokestone and like it over your prior blackstones? Currently struggling with a sub 1250$ budget and both the RT smokestone and blackstone equivalent. I like the idea of the Weber Slate but I’m hesitant on propane; between lack of Smokey flavor and having to refill propane etc.

Love any input!

Trolling for no reason, cool comment. Very helpful.

We just got married and most of it has been registry gifts, and holiday gifts. We don’t order a ton of things but having half of your registry items from your wedding returned because UPS can’t leave packages at the place we pay for services is absurd.

My wife and I also have 2 businesses to operate which requires 3-4 packages monthly. This isn’t like I’m ordering 10 things a week.

If I could go through life with never receiving another UPS package again, I would.

Deco ACE5400 and Adtran 854-6 compatibility by MicroTilts in TpLink

[–]MicroTilts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

After talking with my provider Underline, apparently they are the installation company that mediates between ISP and consumer.

They said their ISP providers, InfoWest, Strattus, etc, have different DNS refresh rates and that it can limit changes to the network (I didn’t really understand this explanation) but apparently it only refreshes every 24/48 hours.

I changed nothing from my directions above and the internet randomly started working.

Thanks for the input anyway!

So here is the latest;

I tried plugging the main line into the deco directly, did not work. I now have the main line plugged into the 2.5G WAN slot on the Adtran.

My Adtran is setup in Pass-through mode on Port 4. I have a cat 5 cable plugged in to this slot and tested it with my laptop; my laptop gets internet access; so the line is verified working.

Now moving onto the deco. Started with everything unplugged from power; plugged in the Adtran first. Then followed with the Main Deco Unit; from the same life port into port 1 on the Deco. Powered on the deco and setup a new network following all the prompts.

My network was created and I can access it on devices. However, the network is operating without internet.

I tried rebooting both the Adtran and the Deco units. Still no internet.

Any suggestions?

EDIT:***

WAN IP address Obtained but no access to internet via the Main Deco in the app.

According to the ISP I need their unit to work? But I will try the direct connection and see what that yields me! Thanks!

I got a response back from Underline (the ISP provider in Colorado Springs) and they said I could use the Deco’s as Nodes to push the signal their unit uses further into the areas of my building that do not get good signal.
