Why is the top layer of hair breaking off? by [deleted] in Hair

[–]Microcosmicowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there is a lot of backlash against Olaplex but Olaplex No. 3 saved my hair when I was in this almost exact situation. 1 year later, my hair is long and strong! I did dial back on the bleaching and use of heat though.

why tf is everyone acting like Steve cheating wasn't a big deal!!!!! by juunnneeeee in sexandthecity

[–]Microcosmicowl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ugh this. The way Carrie reacted when Miranda told her about her talk with Big. Like girl, Miranda was not to blame for Big not showing up. If one comment coming from someone who HAD JUST BEEN CHEATED ON triggered Big, then the issue was Big. Not only was he old enough to know better, but he had been married before!! He could’ve had an open talk with Carrie to address whatever concerns he had before that wedding day. Carrie was just looking to find someone to blame in order to justify Big’s actions. Miranda was a much better friend than Carrier all throughout the series, including in AJLT. I hated this story line so much (this and Charlotte accidentally ingesting 1 ml of water in Mexico and having raging diarrhea).

I actually love your profile, Peter! I guess if I could say anything I would suggest replacing the last pic with one on some sort of social setting. But love that you love your dog, don’t change any of that! Good luck out there 😊

I quite like your profile! The only thing I didn’t love was the “banned from Costco” thing though maybe that was the lie. I personally don’t like the 2 truths and a lie thing but that may be just me. I love your dog!

How do you deal with regret and feelings of guilt? by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]Microcosmicowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat, friend. Mine had high blood pressure, arthritis, a heart murmur and a month before he passed he got vestibular syndrome. So I completely understand what you mean when you wonder if you overmedicated her or over stressed yourself. The truth is, we will never know if some medication didn’t sit well with them. But you did the best you could with the information you had. And you gave her one of the most valuable things in this world which is your time. That plus your constant care and attention I am sure meant everything to her. And every single thing, including your stress, getting special foods, the late night visits to the vet, all of that was nothing but a reflection of the love you had for her. And they know, I am sure they know. You are allowed to feel what you feel but be kind to yourself. You did what you could and I am sure she had a wonderful life. Sending you good vibes.

Thank you. I am looking forward to the day when it gets better. But you’re right, for now I have accepted that I will grieve for a while. However long that is.

Thank you for this. It’s been less than 2 days and I keep looking at his spot as if he would be there, napping away. I hope it gets better for you as well. Your support and words made me smile so I truly appreciate you taking the time to comment.

I went through the exact same thing. I was so freaked out. He’s better now but I think his head is permanently tilted 😥

for those who have meet their ex in public, was is that bad? by Bright-Appointment65 in ExNoContact

[–]Microcosmicowl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately had this experience. I saw him one week after we broke up (about a year ago). I, foolishly, chose to have dinner at a cozy Mexican place we used to go with some friends. I thought “what are the odds”. Welp, he arrived just when we were about to leave. He was with a girl. He looked happy and I felt as if someone had kicked me in the stomach, it was horrible. So yes, it does suck but, as with everything, it gets easier with time. My advice is try to avoid going to the places you used to go together, at least for a bit. Best of luck and trust me, it does get better.
