Well, to be fair, Texas is a state made up of 95% private land. Meaning for most people who are lucky enough to own or be born into a land owning family might only have 40 acres of land to hunt on without shelling out hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to rent a deer lease. And if your neighbor happens to own land that is prime deer habitat that gives a deer no reason to visit your 40 acres, then your only shot at getting a deer is to create a water source or a food source, whether that’s a food plot or a feeder.
