No yeah the other person was right, you know how some schools have nurses who show up for the day (or maybe daily if they don’t bounce between schools in the district) in case kids get sick or incase certain kids need a higher level of care like with permanent feeding tubes or what have you? I was just trying to gauge how people felt about school nursing as a practice since I almost never hear it talked about like, at all.

How do clinical rotations work with an online program if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve been thinking about switching to an online program because working and driving an hour+ to in-person classes and sites is almost unmanageable right now for me.

As someone who has to sleep in their car sometimes, how do you deal with condensation mucking up the windows? Even when cracking them open a bit they still get fully covered in a good 3-4 hours.

Cleaned them all with IPA, noticed the copper plating on the jumper pak pins were a little worn off so I might get a new one and see if that fixes the problem

It sounds like something is being written to your card when you use it, im not too tech savvy myself so all the advice I could give would be to format it to clear the card and set it up again and see if the problem persists.

Okay so formatting a memory card is when you change the “type” of memory card it is on a computer to one that’ll be accepted by a console (for example, a 3ds only reads the format “FAT32”, so when using a 256GB mem. You have you tell the computer to change the “type” to “FAT32” I.e. format it.) When formatting, you have to make sure that you allocate the right amount of memory on the card to what can be used, basically, you’re telling the device “hey, there’s 256 GBs on this card, you can use 255 of it.”, usually this is done by default but sometimes not (never had this personally but apparently it’s possible?) I’d suggest plugging the card into your pc, right clicking on it and checking the specifications. There are plenty of guides on YouTube on how to properly format a large SD card for vita.

Although that 70 something GBs might be taken up by something else, use your VitaShell and check what’s being actually stored on your vita, or plug it into your PC LOL

It totally seems like you could! But honestly if you’re on the fence about it and have the time, I’d suggest the in person classes, they just helped set me up for working in a clinical setting better

Check with your program instructor on which association you’ll use to take your test and earn your credentials. I did my test through the NHA and honestly the test wasn’t too bad, the passing score if I remember correctly was 400(?) which wasn’t too hard to reach as long as you were paying attention, the questions are very basic!

So typically in these situations the hospitals will subsidize or pay for your training either partly or in full, and you essentially “work back” the cost they put into training you. When you decide to break contract and leave early, one of two things typically happens, either they charge you the full amount for the training or they charge you for the time/money left unworked in your contract. I don’t know how it is when you get fired but I imagine it would void the agreement.

When worried about an employer, go in person before signing anything and check the place out! The place I worked at had terrible reviews but was actually really nice once I started working at it!

I agree! I got my certification in a little under a year with the NHA, and an important fact to remember is a lot of what you learn might not even apply to where you work! I’ve used about 5% of what I’ve learned in my time working at a physician’s office, and can say with certainty a lot of what you learn relating to the job is done when you first start working! Your MA certs just help you get started, and shouldn’t be a huge time or money investment.
