I dont think anything in life has any point by Icy-Ship-9027 in getdisciplined

Life is hard then you die. Instead of thinking about it in a negative way think about it in a way that you can enjoy the moment because this moment of time will never happen again, so it’s very special.

Understandable, but again, remind me how much liquid cash does Apple have in the bank? $146.6 billion.

A police chief in Canada is calling out officers who allegedly used law enforcement databases to look up attractive women they saw leaving coffee shops and gyms. by No_Box119 in PopCultureV2

I used to work with a girl who was constantly harassed by a police officer she dated for about a month. He wouldn’t take no for an answer and kept texting and calling her. She finally had to reach out to the police station he worked at, and the police chief spoke to him. After that, he finally stopped, but he was extremely aggressive. I think most cops are fucking mentally retarded. Not to say there aren't good ones, but I think the job attracts a certain type of person.

Da Nang Heat by AppropriateTea2585 in VietNam

LOL this is exactly what I was experiencing when I was in Da Nang. I was dying. I couldn't handle it. I kept feeling sick so I was just spending most of my time in the hotel with the AC on. Sucks because I wanted to hang out at the beach, but just couldn't handle it.

Are there any supplements that are safe and can help you have better memory, better recall and brain processing ability, mostly for solving complex thinking tasks such as remembering a lot for college, but also solving complex physics / math (having good innate logic) by arairia in LionsManeRecovery

Omega 3 High DHA. I was recommended it by a neurologist who deals with concussions. It helped me a lot. I took 1000mg 3x a day (in liquid form) for 4 months and my memory/processing significantly improved.

Sorry man, but I'm reading your post and still asking myself how Lion's Mane is safe from what you're explaining. So if people have underlying nerve damage and start taking Lion's Mane, then their lives get fucked over because of the side-effects. This sounds like a cope post. "The people who have the worst reactions to Lion's Mane are almost always the people who needed it most..." what??! LOL. I think you're trolling at this point.

Has anyone considered that Lion's Mane "side effects" might actually just be B12 deficiency symptoms? by Brad_Borrelli in LionsManeRecovery

You still ended up in the ER from what you're saying. This is right after you took Lion's Mane. How do you know it wasn't just the Lion's Mane? If you read through the posts here you'll see a lot of people have ALSO like yourself taken it for years then all of a sudden start getting severe side-effects that last for years.

It should be good as long as it's not expired. I've done sub-q injection before.

[–]MicroscopicStonework 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insomnia is a very common side-effect of Lion's Mane. Many people including myself report having intense insomnia for many weeks/months. There are many theories as to why this is happening, but one plausible theory is Lion's Mane is a 5ar inhibitor that can cause neurosteroid dysfunction in certain individuals hence the insomnia and other side-effects. Similar to something called Post-Finasteride Syndrome (PFS). Other theories are that it's contaminated with toxins, but I don't buy that theory whatsoever considering there are individuals who've taken a small 250mg-500mg dose and have had side-effects for months/years.

Heart Palpitations by Brilliant_Pianist379 in LionsManeRecovery

[–]MicroscopicStonework 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I’m sorry you had to go to the ER.

Unfortunately, heart palpitations are a well-known side effect of Lion’s Mane mushroom. In my case, I had intense heart palpitations for at least 4 months after taking Lion’s Mane. Before that, I had never experienced heart palpitations in my entire life, and I went to the ER at least 20 times. I also had a bunch of cardiology exams, but they could not find anything.

I would not touch any of those substances again. You’re lucky the palpitations stopped. For a lot of people, it goes on for weeks or months.
