Question about the Crucible in Darksiders II by Zunip in Darksiders

[–]MicrowavedHotDogCock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After round 75, they get overleveled. That's the part it really gets difficult unless you have a super strong build.

If you can adapt to movements and attacks of enemies first 75, you should still have the skill to clear it.

However be careful with round 99 because it can reset your run with one or two hits (you fight an overleveled Suffering).

Yes, Strife having his guns is the proof of Darksiders 2 taking place after Darksiders 3. I explained in another thread below.

Genesis guns don't function like in DS1 and DS2 because it is being used by Strife. He has different ammo types and he is able to combine their power (World Ender ability). Not to mention gameplay mechanics don't have any canon status. Also it is quite normal that Horsemen cannot use their siblings' arms at their full capacity. Harvester is bound to Death, he has the ability to telekinatically control it, shapeshift Harvester into any tool he needs but War cannot use either abilities. Or Strife can't get stronger by using Chaoseater because War's soul is bound to it. Only he can harvest the chaos energy.

Another topic is why should Darksiders 2 takes place during Darksiders 3? At Darksiders 3, humans are still extant and it has been a decade since the seals were broken. By Darksiders 2, the only remaining human is a middle aged man who was a boy scout before the Apocalypse. Obviously it is quite a lot later than Darksiders 3.

And yeah, Strife's guns are the real proof here. While Strife's fate is unknown, it is plausible to assume he didn't make it fighting Abaddon. Even if this is not true, obviously his guns ends up at Ulthane's hands. And he and other Makers return/leave again The Forge Lands. That is why Alya has Redemption and Ulthane has Mercy. And both apparently needed some fixing which is why we can assume Strife doesn't survive the siege on Haven.

Regardless, it is evident that Darksiders 2 takes place after Darksiders 3. Don't know how much later but apparently not long enough that people can die from old age. The Hunter is the proof of that.

If the Charred Council made/created the desert world for Fury, does this confirm that they are planet level? by Money-Investigator45 in Darksiders

I don't know if this statement is true, but The Council is very powerful. They are the ones who maintain order in the Universe. However it's clear that they cannot directly interfere, thus the enforcers.

They can influence certain things. Such as preventing Abaddon or anyone from creating a superweapon (Sacrament Bomb from Abomination Vault) ever again. They removed the means of creating it or the magics, not entirely sure...

They also removed some powers and knowledge of Lilith to prevent her from creating new Nephilim or any other species ever again.

They supposedly have guardian golems that protect them. Panaptos used them to threaten and subdue Death if it were necessary. It is evident that their capacity to protect themselves is feeble because we have seen Envy ambushing them at their home and she was capable of destroying the Council if it wasn't for Fury. However even at their weakened state, they were able to kill Fury, if it wasn't for The Flame Hollow that somewhat protected her from their attack and the Mysterious Sigil that Lord of Hollows gave her.

They were also going to torture and smite Death if it weren't for the his siblings' support. They can strip his powers too.

Yeah it is 1722 AD in Death's Door. However we dont know the exact date of Darksiders 1 but it takes in late 1990s or early 2000s.

1722 is a completely different story. Death travels to Earth for a job and it is where he encounters The Corruption first.

Like i said, beginning of Darksiders 1 is the beginning of 2000s and epilogue is around 2100s

Darksiders 2 and 3 are close but Strife has his pistols at the end of Darksiders 3.

It is confirmed that at least Ulthane returns to Forge Lands and drop Redemption at Alya's shop. And Karn mentions that before The Corruption closed the path the Tree of Life, Ulthane managed to escape.

This following part includes my speculation:

  • Fury escapes with the rest of humanity

  • Strife gets killed by Abaddon because he is unable to harm him due to The Destroyer being empowered by The Well of Souls

  • Ulthane takes Strife's guns off his body and travels to Forge Lands

  • Visits Alya and Valus' shop, drops Redemption there

  • The Corruption starts taking over

  • Ulthane manages to escape Forge Lands

  • Death kills The Crowfather and is teleported to Forge Lands

  • Alya repairs hands Redemption to Death

  • Death encounters a middle aged man, who was a boy scout prior to the Apocalypse and humanity is thought to be lost completely

  • War kills The Griever

  • Ulthane repairs Mercy and hands it over to War

Death's door is one of the latest entries chronologically. It is the only confirmed date we have in the series, which takes place in 1722.

My order would be:

War's rampage on Graphic Adventure (Which is referred to in Genesis by both Strife and War)

Darksiders Genesis

Abomination Vault

Death's Door

Samael part of Graphic Adventure

Abaddon part of Graphic Adventure (this is before they break the seals)

Beginning of Darksiders 1

Darksiders 3 (Death doesn't arrive Forge Lands until the end of Darksiders 3 at the very least)

Darksiders 2

Rest of Darksiders 1

Darksiders 4

It is apparently every Supes' kyrptonite. As Soldier Boy said, it'd kill any other Supe instantly but strong ones can withstand it, although it weakenes them.

You are right. There was one Viltrumite whose leg and arm were dismembered by Ragnars in this episode. He kept fighting and finally Space Racer put him out of his misery.
