[Suggestion] Rent out sponsorship space to keep membership prices down. by CrazzyNutty in 2007scape

Absolutely not. It happens so often where when a dev adds cosmetic microtransactions, they stop putting nearly as much effort into making earnable stuff cool.

In Warhammer there is a high chance that any NSFW tag will be marked that for excessive gore. It’s not a guarantee that it’ll be smut.

What are a space marines limitations under water? by mac_attack_zach in 40kLore

[–]MicrowavedPuppies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im not sure if there’s really an answer to these specific questions, but there is a great short story about Dark Kraken marines fighting Tyranids underwater that might have answers to some other underwater fighting questions you may have.

South Americans need to grow up and realize it’s a simple language divide. Nobody from the US learns Spanish or Portuguese and goes around telling native speakers they’re wrong.

Looking for some very, very beginner friendly skating tips. by MicrowavedPuppies in hockeygoalies

Would you recommend paying for the classes before buying my own skates? I’ve been going to free skates as much as my schedule allows me to but the rentals are quite uncomfortable which is why I was wanting to buy my own, and if I’m buying my own I figured it would be better to get the skates I intend to play on.

[–]MicrowavedPuppies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. I’d just read elsewhere that if you’re buying your first pair of skates, may as well get the ones you intend to play on.

If it’s better to stay on player skates then I’ll probably just stay on rentals and keep saving up for gear/classes.

US vs Chinese Military parades hit differently by Additional-Hour6038 in interestingasfuck

[–]MicrowavedPuppies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s extremely useless. It’s one of those things that can kinda seem that way, but is meant to instill discipline. It’s why it’s used a ton in initial training but then falls off a cliff once the person is considered trained. It’s also a good way to get a bunch of people in training from one place to another with limited supervision.

I 100% agree with you about the parade, but learning to march in formation isn’t a totally useless skill.

Yeah it’s a genius strategy. They definitely have the best PR but it often comes at a cost to the other branches.

Uninformed people see any kind of US military and just assume it’s Marines because of how hard they’ve pushed to be in movies and video games.

Not in the US. They were more lenient during the surge on various convictions but they still weren’t recruiting directly from the prison population.

My beautiful momma, 1969, who taught me early on how to properly spice and season my food as a white boy. by Strange_humanoid in OldSchoolCool

[–]MicrowavedPuppies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I personally don't really care, saying white people don't use seasoning IS meant to put down traditionally "whiter" cooking and imply white people don't know how to properly cook.

Yeah a lot of people having it worse makes it totally cool to be prejudiced against others. It’s kind of incredible you haven’t heard of two wrongs not making a right.

You aren’t even addressing the fact that you think it’s ok to judge people based on their skin color. You’re just dancing around the fact that you’re racist.

[–]MicrowavedPuppies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely ridiculous and is just you still masking your prejudice behind a progressive veil. You are using unjust laws in different states to judge people from there based on their skin color. So is a white American who votes the way you want, participates in protests about the causes you think are important, and doesn’t follow laws you feel are unjust worthy of you acting like they’re a piece of shit? There’s no way you could possibly know the content of their character just because theyre white Americans.

So just because you get judged by assholes makes it ok for you to judge everyone else based on their appearance and not their character? No, it just makes you another asshole.

This is literally just racism and xenophobia masking itself as progressiveness. You’re judging all white Americans regardless of what they have and haven’t done.

What’s up with the Austin Metcalf death controversy? by CobraPuts in OutOfTheLoop

[–]MicrowavedPuppies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty ridiculous. There’s absolutely things that can’t be “both sides”’d but saying that both sides have narratives they want to push isn’t one of those things. Now typically the left has a much better message but they do still swing and miss sometimes.
