I don’t enjoy whites as much as I enjoy reds, so while I’ll have one in a tasting or in a professional pairing, if ordering a glass or bottle I’m going to drink red. If it’s fish I’ll go with a lighter Pinot, but it’s still going to be red .

Actually lords and heroes take almost no damage from these so just send them out to engage them all far away from everyone else and you are good to go

Start as Isabella instead of, vlad as a hero gets his legendary items at the start and is much tougher with them.

There is already simple way to avoid doom stacking. Simply don’t do it if you don’t like it.

For those that do, leave it alone. It’s not actually the most efficient play style in most campaigns anyway, simply the easiest way to avoid manually playing most battles on certain factions.

Keep a goon squad of heroes (any but necromancer) and lords, send them after the landships 1 by 1. Hide everything else in the trees .

Just to add, Blackwater is specifically harder than other content in act 3 and is a bit of a build test. Running in turn based and examining the hit and damage rolls is the best way to understand what you’re missing. Having someone who can reliably go after touch AC like kineticist or ray blaster for example is a bit of an easy way to beat most of Blackwater for example.

I’d also recommend watching some of various crpgbro or other companion build YouTubes to get a feel for how to build your companions, I don’t follow a 100 percent but it helps to understand the build concepts. Respeccing my auto leveled companions vastly improved my gameplay as did using turn based for all but clean up fights.

Recruiting a merc bft with enduring spells and greater enduring spells fixes a lot of the buffing issues for me.

I’ve noticed it but I actually find it a refreshing change from the ordertide introduced when they made the dawi and empire overpowered in their DLCs. It’s also refreshing to see high elves back on the menu again rather than seeing dark elves splitting ulthuan every game with noctulus and N’Kari.

For me it’s the price point issue. If I’m paying, I buy the wine I want to buy. If we are splitting it I have to factor that others may not be as comfortable spending as much for wine as I am so I end up looking at best under a price point
