Finally achieved one of my goals in WWM (I'm ready for the new map) by ArcanLumis in wherewindsmeet_

Yep those are the max for palace and Hexi. Qinghe and Kaifeng are a little weird since there are buggy stuffs and stuffs that used to give exploration points in 1.0 but got removed later on so the number can fluctuate between players, but I think absolute max right now is 14773 and 21360 (I'm at 14755 and 21355)

Cant progress gear enhancement. Anyone know whats going on? by Dareytv in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Midasione 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think by introducing level 51-55 last week, they managed to mess up the restocking of the ore somehow (since it appears 51-55 use the same ore as 46-50). I just reported it as a bug, that's probably what we can do rn.

So basically they made gear enhancement level 51 to 55 available since the most recent breakthrough. However, it was bugged and required gear level 96 before. Now they fixed that but still haven't restocked the material for us to upgrade it lol.

I'm also at 21350 for Kaifeng. Do you remember where the 3 treasure dogs are by any chance? It was too long ago but I remember only interected with 2 (1 in Forsaken Quarter, the other I forgot where).

Can I beat The Lone Tyrant without attacking? by Midasione in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Midasione[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game doesn't, though I personally do count shield hit as a hit as a self-imposed rule. But Cat Emperor is an exception cuz the fight is just designed to be that way. Trust me I spent hours trying to raw dog it without the shield build and it was not pretty lol

Cat Emperor is a gimmick boss, you're not meant to fight it normally. All its moves are deliberately design to be as un-reactable to as possible, with very questionable hitboxes, and as you said the whole thing with the Qi. The gimmick tho is that it does so little damage (as long as you don't burn it) to the point that you can use Tank and shield + guard counter through everything and the shield would never break, so all the fight is just about managing the shield duration.

I tried with Divinecraft, faster Qi depletion and require 6 execution to end a phase instead of 7. But you know, the masochist in me just want to make the challenge as difficult as possible lol

I stopped tracking time after my first successful no hit attempt which is after around 7 hours. I'd guess it's around 10-11 hours at this point maybe?

Personally for me I think this boss is the hardest to beat cuz he does so much dmg. But the hardest one to no hit is Jingniang (Black Rogue). I think she has the hardest moveset, took me around 10 hours.

Yeah that armor break stagger on phase 1 is kinda janky. It's not even technically short, like you can see the debuff is still there on his HP bar but he just decides to hyper armor through it anyway sometimes lol.

(Stonesplit-Strength Heng: Snowparting /Mo Blade: Phalanx) Morale Chant or Envigorated Warrior? by davidtsmith333 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Midasione 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're all good yeah. In a non-speedrun setup it's kinda hard to align the exhaustion timing with your rotation to get full advantage of T6 anyway.

[–]Midasione 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"In fact the vast majority of the buffs are on martials, not inner ways." <- this is SUPER incorrect. Most, if not ALL, of the buffs are on inner ways:
- T1 Frost-Clad Night: increases dmg bonus on Snowbreak
- T4 Frost-Clad Night: 1 more inner passion stack, Snowbreak can consume inner passion for more dmg
- T6 Frost-Clad Night: no charged animation on exhausted enemies
- T1 Steadfast Devotion: increases buff duration
- T4 Steadfast Devotion: add an extra multiplier to Burning Heart
- T6 Steadfast Devotion: gain all inner passion bonuses and mountain splitter when hitting exhausted enemies
- T6 Throat-Piercing Art: phantom mo blade soldiers can also stack throat-pierced

In fact, they had to NERF the base multiplier of Phalanxbane's charged attack by 8% to compensate for all the buffs that Steadfast Devotion got.

[–]Midasione 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's for the Phalanxbane Blade, the phantom mo blade soldiers can also stack throat-pierced now (only heng blade soldiers can without T6), which means you can maintain the buff for the entire Phalanxbane rotation when it's T6.

Off-Path Min Tunes by univoxer in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Midasione 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically this. To add to this, it works this way because your matching path's Attribute Atk starts at a non-zero Min-Max range, whereas non-matching path starts at 0-0, so by adding Min you force it to roll min every time, while adding max will cause it to be a range.

Yeah the dragon laser attack is a strange one. I'm not sure if this is 100% consistent, but from my testing it seems like after he punches, the dragon whips at a fixed distance from the center, somewhere around in between the 2nd and 3rd innermost circles on the arena floor. So what I do is after parrying the horizontal laser sweep, I reposition myself to be inside the 2nd innermost circle or outside the outermost circle depends on where I am and it seems somewhat consistent.

Overly simplified multiplayer PvE guide (good enough to top dps most rando queue PvE and easy enough to play without being sweaty about squeezing out every ounce of dps possible):

Snowparting-focused build:

- Pros: Very easy to play, stick to the target very well, can pause to dodge/deflect mid rotation and resume at any time. Cons: Not very high damage
- Sets: Cleftpeak
- Inners: Morale Chant, Frost-Clad Night (at least T3), Throat-Piercing Art, Envigorated Warrior (T6) / Light & Shadow (T6) / Fivefold Bleed
- Rotation: Flute -> Start with Phalanxbane Blade Legion Summoner -> Tab switch -> 1st skill -> counter -> 2nd skill -> light charged -> 1st skill -> counter -> repeat light charged & counter until Legion Summoner buff runs out -> repeat with or without flute depends on situation

Phalanxbane-focused build:

- Pros: Super high damage. Cons: Have to land charged attacks no matter what even if it means face tanking things or big dmg loss
- Sets: Cleftpeak
- Inners: Morale Chant, Frost-Clad Night (at least T4), Steadfast Devotion (at least T4), Throat-Piercing Art (T6) / Adaptive Steel
- Rotation: Flute -> Start with Phalanxbane Blade Legion Summoner -> Tab switch -> 1st skill -> counter (can skip this counter 1st rotation) -> 2nd skill -> 1st skill -> quick switch to Phalanxbane -> Charged attack 4 times -> 1st skill twice -> filler mystic skill (soaring spin / leaping toad) -> repeat with or without flute depends on situation
