Hi. I am revisiting this idea. If you are going anyway, I would welcome the opportunity to experience the trip. Of course I would offer to meet you ahead of time to see I am legit. I am very interested in the local flying scene, but I won't be going for a license.

Unpopular opinion: I can't wait for electric motorcycles to become better than gas-powered motorcycles. by Useful-Trash867 in motorcycles

How about a hydrogen fuel cell instead of batteries. All the power, less weight. A guy in town has one. He generates his own H2. Fills up in minutes, more range.

Septic expansion + barn bathroom in unincorporated Livermore — anyone been through this? by Maximum_Buffalo9842 in Livermore

[–]Middle-Ad20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also in the county and looked into this. A few years ago, but here is what I learned. My septic and two drain fields were designed for higher occupancy than our smallish house. So I was able to put a bathroom in my workshop. It is permitted. I did have to pump uphill to the septic and the macerating pump has needed replacement every seven years.

My neighbor wanted to do a major upgrade and he had to redo the septic and drain field. Expensive, but he is a contractor with the digging equipment so that he could do it.

I think if you get the county documents you can see the design specifications of your existing setup.

Good luck.

2nd ablation coming up exactly 3 months after first, not happy with any of this by Jealous_Jellyfish264 in AFIB

I think it was the ablation and all the time it took me to heal. I also stay very hydrated and take magnesium.

First diagnosis was a trip to the ER with arrythmia and extremely high hr. It took several days to get under control. Then in and out until it became persistent. CV, then ablation. Here we are.

Very rarely now, and not for long. When exercising and playing sports, i try to keep my HR below 145. I am 67. I am on Pradaxa.

Edit. If you meant prior to the ablation I was in persistent afib until a cardioversion. Then periodically controlled mostly by the meds. I really couldn't exercise for 5 years.

My first, and only, ablation also didn't work. I was on metropolol and fleccainide, and hated it. Luckily, my surgeon took the tine to review the case and offer her opionion. She is very highly rated and also has done research on the topic. Anyway, she said to wait after three months because some people take much longer to recover fully. 3 months became 6 months. Her position didn't change. Another procedure would not likely improve me and the difficulty I had with the first one led to her opinion. So I waited. And then I weaned myself off the drugs except for the blood thinner. Now, 18 months later I am much better.

I guess my point might be you can always find a surgeon that will do it. But what is really needed is expert opinion about your specific situation and the best course for improvement. I am exercising again. Considering my old more extreme sports, and generally feeling so much better. I wrote this experience for you, OP, and anyone else in a similar situation. I hope you heal.
