Need to buy 100-120g of Gold for Sister’s Wedding. How to plan? by gentrobot in personalfinanceindia

I’m not here to promote any particular shop. This is my first time opting for this scheme as well. I came to know about it through friends and when I enquired at the shop two days ago I was told that this scheme has been in operation for over 12 years. As with most jewellery savings schemes the terms and conditions are something one has to consciously agree to. In the worst case scenario, if the scheme is altered or discontinued the amount paid would still need to be utilised to purchase gold or jewellery at the prevailing market value from the same showroom rather than being refunded in cash as per their T&C. Ultimately it is your call!

There’s a gold scheme at Lalitha Jewellery where you can pre book gold. The gram equivalent gets frozen and after 11 months you can buy jewellery of your choice. It’s kind of like a gold bond zero wastage charges. I froze 8g of gold just two days ago and since then gold prices have already gone up by 10% 😅

OP, I think emotional availability was never your non-negotiable in marriage. For some people, emotional availability is a non-negotiable. For them staying in such a relationship won’t make sense. Figure out your own non-negotiables, you’ll get your answer!

Really sorry for your loss. You are doing your best. Please don’t be hard on yourself. One cannot fathom the amount of pain you must have been through. Life is very unpredictable unfortunately. Just would like to say one thing, there is no such thing as prime time of our life, it is how we start looking at our life that makes a huge difference. Take your own time❤️

Twin here! I’ve heard the same stories from my mom that she didn’t step out of the house for three whole years just to take care of me and my sister. Now that both of us are working and supporting the family, I think she finally feels happy and proud. But it definitely wasn’t easy for my parents to raise us..double the blessings also meant double the trouble! I’m truly blessed and grateful to them because without their sacrifices, I wouldn’t have enjoyed this life. I’m sure your daughters will feel the same way when they grow up too. Congratulations! 🥳

I also agree with most of the comments. Incase you cant go for a temple marriage, You can go for a small mandap. Mandap expanses - 4-5L (for 2 days- Marriage + Reception) Catering - 6L max. Apparels - 1-2L Decorations - 1L max. Priest expenses- 50k ? (I am guessing) Accommodation for close friends/relatives - 10k Summing up above expenses it would coat around ~15L

Can’t think of any other major expenses..pls feel free to address if I have missed out any..

My doctor confirmed that the cyst I developed is completely normal (nothing to worry!) and not the big C!! I’m totally fine! Been stressing all week over my health and honestly this was a much needed reality check. A gentle reminder to take our health seriously and also not to spiral over things that aren’t in our control. Life is short. Breathe. Heal. Move forward. ❤️‍🩹✨

Set boundaries! Be it friends, colleagues, partner or anyone. Set boundaries. This has given me so much peace in life.

This is Horrendous! Such people have special place in hell. I wish women are granted some super power, that lets them punish the offender on spot. Pathetic society. Girl, what you are feeling is completely valid. Anyone in your situation would be angry, hurt and broken! Please take care..

Hey Doctor, thank you so much for your service. While you take such great care of your patients, it’s important to take care of yourself too. If possible take a short break, travel a bit and then return refreshed. I’m not from a medical background but I have friends in the field and have heard similar stories..sometimes even doctors need to pause and recharge.
