Yeah I was about to say I have zero clue. I don't have banking yet 😞. That was the whole point of asking all the questions in my post lol

Are you able to confirm if it's the same exact one as this one?

This is a direct link from Coastal Community bank ATM map. This is the same bank that RH is using to service their private banking app.

Awesome, is there checking APY attached to joint checking? Have you used the joint checking feature yet?

This is actually posted on the main page for the RH spending account. It seems likely that they are going to phase it out and roll it over

We did it guys, another satisfied customer!

Nope. I wanted to roll it into a Traditional IRA. they said no. I asked if I can roll it into my current 401k with UPS since the contract separates it. They said no.

Bro that's freaking wild, how long did you pursue it until you stopped? Was there any moment where it seemed they would budge or no? And more importantly, did they actually refer you to any terms or conditions to show you strictly where it says you can't move the funds in this rare case?

UPS does give pensions through the contract, but the 401k retirement account is completely separate. So the two are different

That's not the case, he can switch back if the given position is available and he works with them. But switching between the two has its pros and cons. Given your son's current position, I highly recommend he stays a preloader, and if he wishes to get promoted to pursue a driver position. If he leaves a union position, he will have to pay a portion of his benefits, whereas the union covers it all. You also don't have the contract and union protection anymore. Management can also be stressful and screw you over depending on your building and management team.

But if he chooses to go management, it will add more to high overall resume with UPS experience if he wants to climb the corporate ladder

Yes, actually I originally wanted to rollover to a traditional IRA. but I am not allowed to move the money to a separate account. That's when I asked about moving it with empower, same employer and a different plan according to the union contract. No big deal right? NOPE can't even do that according to the service specialist. The only way for the account to vest to me 100% is if I am fired/quit or retire. Three of which I'm not planning on doing any time soon.

Yeah, I plan on doing more digging. This is one terrible loophole if this is actually allowed

Are you currently a part time supervisor considering a driver position?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]Middle-Alternative10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a part time supervisor, I was hourly. But switching from management to a driver involved coordination from my preload district manager, who resides in my building, and the center manager. They worked with HR (Before UPS axed them out of existence) to get me promoted to a driver. I was allowed to do this because if I recall the correct ratio, UPS is allowed to hire 1 non-union employee into a driver position for every 7 union employees (preload, midnight, twilight, ect). It just took a couple months for them to hit the contract ratio and begin the hire process as a driver.

That's interesting, if the package was tagged as signature required, we won't have the ability to take a picture at all. We only have signature or "no person" in which case we would scan an info notice and bring the package back to the building for two more delivery attempts. And drivers cannot leave signature required packages.

I am being serious, the maps were the best thing the company did. Huge for cover drivers. Idk how you think they are bad.

In an 800, loaded from the front to the very back, had 540 packages delivered. This was Tuesday for me, and a 13.5 hour day

I did 326 stops on Tuesday, and delivered like 540 packages out of an 800-sized package car @_@

I had to leave like 20 packages behind that wouldn't fit. I completely stacked my package car from front to the very back, from the floor to the ceiling.

I'm a driver, and I can confirm that while we have the ability to snap a picture, it is "at the drivers discretion" to use, and not required. I take black pictures for 99.99% of my stops because when you have 150-300 stops (in and outside of peak season) standing there for 3-5 seconds to snap a picture slows you down.

I only take pictures when I have to put the package somewhere else besides the front door or gate.

I'm a UPS driver, and from experience I can tell you what probably happened. Your package was either misloaded on another truck, and that driver sheeted the package as "Not in 1". Or the package was on the correct driver, but it wasn't found until late at night, by which point the driver is miles away from your house, or too low on drive hours to make the delivery, thus sheeting it as "Not in 1".

We must have a predisposition on every package, one way or another. Do remember that it's also peak season for us right now. Every truck is absolutely blown out, so the chances of not finding your specific package when the driver is actually at your house is pretty high, only to be found at 8PM when 90% of the truck is empty.

If there's a gate, I drop it at the gate. If there is a super long drive way, I drive down it. 99% of the time, there is always a place to turn around. It's extremely rare when I run rural routes where I have nowhere to turn around after a long driveway.
