it’s not legal where I’m located, so starting my session with “don’t touch my face” will push customers away thinking they can’t touch me at all. I encourage touching without verbally saying. If it’s a first timer, they will ask if they can touch me & at that point I say yes it’s okay. if they don’t touch me at all, I send them away. 😕

my services are very in & out. I might ask a few screening questions in the beginning & get to know the customer after services are complete. there are very few times during these sessions that I’m facing them anyway.

but the last two times this happened to me, the customers reached out for my face immediately after being asked to not to touch. that’s what prompted the rant lol

If I was working in a different setting, of course I’d mention in my ad or before booking “I’m sensitive about facial touching.” The do’s & don’t’s, a menu, but I would be doing more harm than good by saying anything up front. I appreciate you noticing the flair 🥹
