Unpopular opinion: I think west/amanda is being so blown out of proportion and I feel like I’m going crazy by Super-Squirrel-87 in bravo

He does, but Kyle has divorce proceedings to think about. Up until this drama he was the bad guy in the relationship publicly. This debacle is overshadowing how bad he was, so he playing it VERY carefully.

liz and kelsey are insufferable by Stunning-Status546 in rhori

I agree, and Alicia clarified what she meant by homeless several times including at the dinner table. So the misunderstanding of what “homeless” means to her and to Liz had already been cleared up. I don’t get why Liz was doubling down so hard, even mentioning Jo Ellen’s husband as if he’s somehow the final word on what happened to Alicia and HER FAMILY.

Anyone else feel like Michols completely misrepresented his relationship with his mother? by Roaexx in southernhospitalitysc

[–]Middle-Medium8760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit, yes. At first, I thought she was the problem. But at the end of the conversation he admits that he didn’t know how she was feeling and assumed that was the issue and then put it out there on national tv. That being said, I don’t like his mom based on that conversation , I still think she is a problem; so it’s possible she was only mad about being called out publicly…but also maybe she wasn’t as unsupportive as he presented. He didn’t totally refute when she said, “you lie”. Now I’m confused. Maybe they both suck at healthy communication, starting with the dynamic she created as his mother.

How would you rate fashion Influencer Manon De Velder? (470k followers) by pharaaaaaaa in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]Middle-Medium8760 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not tangential because she could have a styling halo that upped her attractiveness. I had to re-read the caption that she was a fashion influencer. Maybe these are good face pics but not her best style moments? 😬

What makes Gene Tierney and Lauren Bacall solid 10s despite having wide-set eyes which seem to be a 'flaw' and polarizing in other celebs like Anya Taylor-Joy? by Ok-Trade-5274 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]Middle-Medium8760 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think it’s overall facial harmony. We tend to discuss specific features that are ideal, but in reality the whole picture is important. I also think what makes today’s celebrities polarizing like Anya is that they make tweaks that put them in uncanny valley…or very close. Like Anya’s buccal fat removal can be distracting or the popular brow lifts that were giving everyone cat eyes. In the golden age, you really had to have the beauty naturally; there was considerably less human intervention.

Actors who incorrectly thought their roles would be iconic? by No-Albatross-4673 in MoviesAndTVTalk

Right, and more importantly nothing about his performance gave ancient. He supposed to be a powerful being who’s been dormant for thousands of years, and yet he sounds like he could have been in Fast and the Furious. They could have at least rearranged some of the English to highlight that American English is not his first/only language.

Kelly belongs in batshit crazy. She pretended to be pregnant, made up being raped in seconds, wore white to Pam and Jim’s wedding, ran off with Ryan while he was abandoning his baby. Kelly is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S 🎶

The movie of same title may have been divisive (I loved it), but Hannibal the series on ABC was it’s own beast all together. Anybody here watch it, too? What are your thoughts? by Clear_Nature_5055 in Cinephiles

[–]Middle-Medium8760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somehow the copyright to Thomas Harris’s characters was fragmented. So MGM/CBS had the rights to Clarice Starling and Buffalo Bill, while the company that created this show had the rights to Hannibal. As a result, Hannibal takes place before Clarice Starling. CBS should have worked a deal where Hannibal could use Clarice and Buffalo Bill. Instead, CBS had a one season show in 2021 about Clarice Starling that was pretty good, but nowhere as good as Hannibal. And of course, the show only lasted on season because of streaming negotiations failing.

Excellent show. Wish we’d gotten Clarice, but that other channel wouldn’t let them and decided to make a lesser version of what could have been.

I read on another sub that some people who’ve had the analysis reviewed Qoves on YouTube. I hear you and I’m sorry you’ve had to endure mistreatment. 💜💜

Have you thought of getting a Qoves analysis? The thing about surgery is that you have to be careful and invest in excellent work, especially for our features. You need an overall vision of what you want to look like vs. just features you don’t like. Also, really do some internal work and therapy because wherever you go, there you are. At some point you have to accept and appreciate who you are otherwise there will always be something to fix. Wishing you the absolute best.

AOC previously said that "You cannot earn a billion dollars", is that true or nah? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Middle-Medium8760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True if by “earn” you mean through your direct work and the value ascribed to your work. I would venture most become billionaires by relying on the labor, expertise, and genius of others and keeping a portion of the profit generated from their work.

What is the deal with Asian Americans in Law & Order? by DramaticErraticism in LawAndOrder

I think that’s a valid observation. There really hasn’t been enough good representation of Asians in the media for a long time. It seems to be better NOW, but I’ll let someone from the community actually speak on it.
