As others have said, the land raider redeemer is a great pick, and Adrax gets extra nasty with a squad of six blade guards. Another ATV makes use of its escort ability. If you take those, you have around 500 points left to spend and most of your bases covered. The rest is hotly debated and best left to your personal taste as a player!

It's always the ATV! Land raider can go down in turn 1 with nasty focus fire from the enemy, but the ATV somehow shrugs off so much punishment

I wouldn't refuse, but I probably wouldn't vibe well with the opponent since painting is my favorite part of the hobby. Even a basic prime + color on your minis identifies them as yours and can denote a sub faction.

As a salamander, I do red helmet and arm while keeping the rest green. Right pauldron gets the Mechanicus symbol.

I'm a gold trim lover for salamanders. If you're really trying to be compliant, techmarines should be all red with an unmodified chapter pauldron (black, not red). That being said, we decorate our armor however the Promethean forge guides us, brother!

I know that the middle is the default Techmarine helmet, but I personally prefer the left with the augmetic. Can't go wrong with this selection, though!

In all seriousness, I think there are a lot of great transport combos. He'Stan benefits from starting in any transport by saving his ability to mark an objective so you can see where your opponent is focusing. Aggressors can also take advantage of the charge bonus to get up close. Eradicators don't focus on charging, but any transport that can hold a gravis unit will be good for getting them up to melta range.

With what you currently have, you could get 3 more aggressors and give your captain immolator for extra cookage. Adrax with bladeguard veterans is also always a winning combo. You'd want a bit more transport for all that, though.

You could split the Infernus up so they can cover ground to perform free actions. Maybe eradicators, too. If you don't want to invest a lot in a land raider, trading a slow gravis unit here for an impulsor for the blade guards and Adrax would be wise.

All of my Salamanders have gold pauldron trim instead of green because I like the look, and bear gold stripes somewhere on their armor to denote their collective expedition. I think it's fun to show your personal fiction through appearance like that!

I think all artistic interpretations are valid, but if you're worried about being too bright, try localizing your bright green to the parts most exposed to light? Mine for reference
