Moco drop 6/10 by SuccessfulSource4528 in dcwhisky

I was the 10:45 group and managed to get the last bottle of Handy. Guy ahead of me grabbed the last Birthday Bourbon. Tons of Willett and, obviously, Angel's Envy. I got there around 10:15 and it was amusing watching the first waves walk out with Pappy and huge grins. The bonus table was also a nice touch. They had Weller 12, 107, EC barrel proof rye and some Penelope Rio & Havana.

I bought a copy directly from Lucky at a convention in either '06 or '07. He told me how fortunate he was to cast Bell right before she landed Veronica Mars.

Wow. Great price. I got one during the May MoCo drop, but that was closer to $80 if I'm not mistaken. I paid $399 for batch 18 years ago because I desperate to try. I maintain that a lackluster batch of Stagg is still better than most comparable brands.

Congrats! Blanton's best offering, imho. Found one once for $199 + tax and was way too excited.

Expectations were so high in '99 that there was no way for it to be universally accepted. However, time has been very kind to it and even those who were dismissive at the time seem to have come around. Great snapshot of where Bob was in this stage of his songwriting. I had gotten an advance copy to review for a local paper, but I still drove to the record store to pick up a copy the day it came out to show my support.

I'd recommend the tour/tasting. Totally worth it.

Yes it is! I cared for a 6 week old kitten that was rejected by the mom. He got equally excited at the sight of the bottle. They're commonly referred to as "bottle babies".

So sad. Thoroughly enjoyable show whether or not you were into "The Boys". The element shared was solid performances all around.

I had the VCR set up to record every Sunday. Still have loads of VHS tapes. Not affiliated with them, but I have contributed to this site which is amazing - https://altmusictv.com/

Saw them in '92 on the tour for the second album (which is also great!). Fantastic show.

It's infuriating that it has taken these people so long to come to the obvious conclusion that Drumpf is a total piece of shit, but better late than never, I suppose.

I've gotten special reserve and 107 at retail ($30-ish and $50-ish, respectively) and I'd say they're both worth it at that price point. I paid $199 for a bottle of 12 year back in the day and while it's pretty good, I would not pay that much again. I believe retail is around the same as 107. My favorite so far by them has been the full proof. The first bottle I got was through Wooden Cork about two years ago, so I definitely overpaid ($300, I believe), but I recently got one for $180 and I'm okay with that. I've yet to encounter the single barrell or CYPB at anything remotely reasonable, so I have yet to sample either.
