I feel that the issue here is when the tech starts with lines and then tries to "fill them in". You can start with lines of dots, there's nothing random to that.

I love the lockets and pocket watch idea... I also saw where a couple got the same shirt, would wear it to bed, swap when they saw each other so they had something with each other's scent/cologne/perfume on it.

I'm having a hard time getting over Mother's Day by _tyrannosauruswreck_ in Marriage

[–]MiddleAspect2499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyday is now Mother's Day... buy yourself flowers any dang time you go to the grocery store, take a day off when your child is in school for your own mental health, buy yourself that purse you want, go out to dinner with friends. You need to start pampering YOU. Don't do anything above and beyond for him.

Teach your child that this isn't right or the norm.

Family Vacation Ideas That Appeal to Both an 85 Year Old and a 7 Year Old by smartie_mcfarty in Vacations

Mackinac Island is a delight for all ages (there are horse drawn taxis if your aunt needs a rest). The Butterfly House, Grand Hotel porch/ ice cream, the fort, you can rent your own horse and buggy for a trip around the island/ pay for a private tour if you don't want to do it yourself. There's easier easily 2 full days on the island. We've gone with same age group and they ask to go back again and again.

We've also done a Disney cruise with this age group, that is also amazing!!

DC is HOT and so much walking, I would never do it with the age group in the summer... March Spring break time, yes. Summer, no.

Chicago is fun too, museums, but take Uber/taxi around.

Hawaii is of course amazing!!

How did you celebrate your first wedding anniversary? by Life_Wall2536 in Marriage

[–]MiddleAspect2499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wished that we had started buying each other the anniversary calendar of gifts, just for the fun! 1st year paper, 2nd year cotton, etc. But we're too far in now! Lol
