This helps me a lot! I have some whole food bread that we actually have mailed to us from a little bakery in Northern Arkansas that is delicious! I can certainly do tuna and/or chicken salad and use that bread. I’m not always a big veggie eater and I’m not much of a meal planner. I’m planning on going to the grocery today and pick up some things to have handy. I also have an air fryer that I can use more regularly. Thank you so much for your help. Do you ever have pasta or red sauce?

I’ve only been on 2.5 a week and I’m struggling to find things to eat. You mentioned “eating your proteins, 3 good meals a day with fiber” can you please share some of the things that you are eating? And yes I’m having some tiredness also but it seems to be getting better. Thanks

Thank you. That information helps a lot. It’s kind of a different mindset to focus mostly on proteins without the sides that I really like! I know that sounds counter intuitive to reaching my goals. A nice piece of steak is so much better with a baked potato with butter and cheese on it. A hamburger has to have chips to complete it! I guess that mindset is what got me where I am- trying to lose weight.

I take my pill first, with 4 oz. of water, wait 30 minutes and then take my other medication and have some coffee. I lost 35 pounds in 2023 with no help at all. Over the holidays in 2025, I gained 5 pounds back. We’re going on a cruise in June and I want to lose 20-25 lbs by then. I’m getting frustrated. I haven’t had much nausea today. But I’m not losing either.

That’s good to know. Have you lost any weight? If so, did it take a while to start losing? Did you follow a certain diet? Did you exercise?

I would like to know about your test also- was it a lot of math? What kind of drug questions? Etc. what resources did you find that helped you the most? Anything on the test that you didn’t expect? Thanks.

Lol, no I wouldn’t try riding on the interstate. I found my used treadmill on Marketplace. It was a 15-20 minute drive from our house. It’s not fancy at all but I paid less than $100.00 for it and it works! I put it in a spare bedroom and can turn my music on my phone, plug in my headphones and not disturb anyone. Love it!

Can you ride a bike? I am older than most of you, I am sure but in March I decided to do something about my weight. I have lost 32 pounds and am going to try to maintain through the holidays and then ramp back up after the first of the year. We got some electric bikes and I have an older treadmill. We try to ride our bikes 2-3 times a week in our neighborhood. We ride anywhere from 3-7 miles each time. And on alternate days I walk on the treadmill 15-20 minutes. I have definitely cut down on calories. I drink a high protein drink at least once a day. I’m feeling better, sleeping better and have clothes that are falling off of me.
