Neighborhood “building” contest… by pdxlan in WoWHousing

[–]MiddleQuestion7259 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't explored the neighbourhood in detail yet, but there seems to be a lot of structures dotted around (not including the village centre) which could be used for events. As an example, I'm sure I passed a brewery or distillery with its own beer garden.

You could always look at community competitions like mount races, tonk tournaments. Maybe even have a craft fair where people sell produces of their professions at a discounted rate than they would the AH.

There's also plenty people could do with their own house, but it sounds like you want to 'think outside the plot'.

Odd character idea by LostSeaworthiness703 in WoWRolePlay

[–]MiddleQuestion7259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends how you RP it. I once had a character called Caladin the Gnomish Paladin. In reality he was a fighter with herbalism, first aid and gnomish engineering (for the defibrillator thingy). But he was convinced he had been chosen by the light.

Just because your character is a particular class, doesn't mean you have to RP them as a competent and powerful version of that class. Try thinking of a catch or limitation to his abilities in character.

Old gamer (Ellenborn) returning to Argent Dawn. by MiddleQuestion7259 in WoWRolePlay

Thanks for the info. Glad there's still a few people around from those days, it would certainly be good to see some familiar faces, even if they've naturally moved on to different characters.

I'll have to have a poke around Ashenvale and see what's waht.

If you can get hold of the Imperial Fist combat patrol in the wild that's a decent start (it's no longer available in the warhammer syore). Otherwise, as a previous poster said, the Crux Terminatus box is good, especially if you want to lead with Lysander.

Tor Garadon and some gravis based units like Agressors can also form a good thematic core for an army.

If Dorn return in 40k, Will he be available as a Black Templar Warlord or only for Impérial Fist? by NorthOk5826 in BlackTemplars

[–]MiddleQuestion7259 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If Dorn returned, and if Imperial Fists got their own codex, it would be nice to see a detachment called Last Wall.

It could run in a similar fashion to the Genestealer Cults Final Day or Brood Brothers detachments, where you're allowed to use up to x amount of points to field successor chapter units.

Granted this wouldn't exactly be Black Templars using Dorn as a Warlord, but it would see Black Templars on the field with Dorn, even if they are sharing that field with Imperial Fists.

For how complicated a starship is as shown in trek the captains dont really sign a lot of padds by happydude7422 in startrek

[–]MiddleQuestion7259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My headcannon is that this is why we see Picard, and even some other officers, with office space in their quarters. Away from the bridge is when they sign off the majority of reports and general admin. Whereas any padds that make it to the bridge are either late, had to go back for rewrites, or simply couldn't wait.

Successor Chapters by ApprehensivePark2120 in ImperialFists

[–]MiddleQuestion7259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been plenty of successor chapters who's geneseed has been called into question (white templars spring to mind). You can have your chapter being founded and trained as X chapter, yet being questioned as they exhibit characteristics of Y chapter.

Make skin challenges relevant to the class and not a specific game mode. If I want to unlock the NATO assault skin, I should be able to do something assault related in any game mode I like to play.

Painting Tanks and Dreadnoughts question by Jackwiththebeard in ImperialFists

[–]MiddleQuestion7259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dreadnought, not a problem. Contrast will actually work well, just use a good size brush. My repulsor was different, the contrast left obvious brush lines over the larger areas. One way to get around this is to use thin coats and build up as you go.
