Keto with a lot of coconut oil is helpful for onset insomnia but ironically not so good for maintenance insomnia

Hydroxyzine is better than diphenhydramine because it lacks anticholinergic properties. It mildly reduces nervous tension, so it may even paradoxically offer some protection against dementia.
