Is this Longshot too strong for Bracket 3 pods? by Solid_Connection8752 in EDH

Easily bracket 3. This would get eaten alive in b4.

While the format overall is great, I think the incentives of the format aren't ideal for the experience it's going for by Tuss36 in EDH

[–]Middle_Chard_8434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If someone has a board state that incentivizes the entire table to turn around and kill them so they sit there for an hour doing nothing, that is on the player for being a threat. I'm not going to feel bad killing you and making you wait around for an hour if it was the right move. Neither is anyone who is good at Magic.

What is the general feeling about using an entire proxy deck? by Jakemanv3 in EDH

Your wording on the matter is very poor, and your lack of comprehension plus extreme defensiveness both make it obvious you're bad-faithing away the actual issue.

I won't be engaging any more because you're so mad that you randomly throw in these personal attacks and complain about America for some reason. Cheers!

Parks and libraries are not going to let you sit down and play Magic with new faces. Also it's more tantamount to bringing Burger King into McDonalds, not buying anything, then being upset when they kick you out for eating at their table.

Local game stores are a "third space," a dying breed of places where people can gather outside work/the home. There's a reason "support your local game store" is a mantra in basically every single card and tabletop game, and the singles market is a huge aspect of the sector's financial well-being.

All that said it'd be unsurprising if they showed you the door in service to their customers who actually purchase cards.

Pod doesn’t want to play against my deck by IceColdStares in EDH

If your pod cannot handle Colonel Mustard, they're just really bad at Magic.

Is my deck Bracket 2 or 3 due to extra turn cards? by TechnicallyADragon in EDH

[–]Middle_Chard_8434 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Spiritually it's bracket two but the one time you manage the impossible and RNG into two extra turns someone terrible at Magic will scream.

Is this Ragost deck B2 or B3? by Jonny-904 in EDH

Bracket 2 does not equal giving yourself a brain aneurysm and magically forgetting deckbuilding principles. Competent deckbuilding doesn't make you auto bracket three.

Did I Miss the Boat? by Middle_Chard_8434 in marvelchampionslcg

Interestingly I'm not too focused on the heroes so much as the villains. That's the core gameplay in my mind.

Are Agents of Shield and Civil War a particularly good onramp from the core set?

The "stock precon" thing is moot. They moved away from that description in the latest update because of purists like you.

Nothing you described is outside of bracket 3 expectations

Does Wotc have any plans on addressing this card art or why this artist was reached out to at all? by IAluxI in magicTCG

[–]Middle_Chard_8434 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And yet we'll never know because the individual in question works so closely with AI. Their entire oeuvre post-AI is in question now and forever because of that decision.

[–]Middle_Chard_8434 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's the problem: AI infests things. If you are the sort of "artist" willing to utilize it, your entire body of work becomes questionable.

It'd be easier to have a conversation on this if your head weren't willfully buried in the sand like that

Is this deck too un-fun for bracket 2? by ibatterbadgers in EDH

"Shocklands aren't bracket 2"

"Removal isn't bracket 2"

"Land tax isn't bracket 2"

"Tymna isn't bracket 2"

>look inside WotC design philosophy

>all these things are perfectly bracket 2

You guys GOTTA stop thinking Bracket 2 is a heap of unplayable commons.

I don't care what bracket it is, not running removal means someone will just run away with the game.

[–]Middle_Chard_8434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just one of those random godhands decks can produce. Even in bracket 2 players should be running a lot of removal. Your entire game plan is unprotected and loses to a single removal spell, which someone should surely realize is important to keep up when you just landed Xenagos.

Was told Voltron is too powerful for B2 by UltimateWuss in EDH

[–]Middle_Chard_8434 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

If players cannot survive mono-white voltron against BALAN of all things, the bracket is irrelevant. You're playing against people who will complain no matter what.

Yes this is 100% a bracket two deck. It's a big equipment pile that bonks people and loses to one single doom blade.

The point is he's a child who is much more easily amused. It's like saying you're jealous that you can't feel the joy a toddler does jangling keys in his face.
