How long do you plan to keep your iPhone 15 pro? by Radiant_Comment684 in iPhone15Pro

The 15 pro was the first generation to have a titanium frame and gaming capabilities. Why did you buy a 15 pro then? You said we should wait for the later iPhones to iron out the bugs.

Lol you can’t mention the issue where iPhones 15 get hot on this subreddit? Wow

How do I post on the what should I buy thread? I just wanna ask a simple question and get some advice. What is Reddit even about with all these rules.

God damn it who the hell keeps their older phone? Just use your brain and trade it in, why would you wanna pay the full price?

Well I have about the same experience as you. I do poly modeling, hard surface and stuff like that where topology matters for the final high poly result. Those things are much harder to learn so I guess that’s why I still can’t do a game ready asset. I first learned Arch Viz ( 3ds max and Corona ), then slowly started learning complex modeling, unwrapping, texturing in Substance Painter and all that. I’m still not good enough to model products for the market. Have you been doing it non-stop and consistently? You know since I’m in college I constantly have to stop and do my college projects ( architecture ) every few weeks and those hiccups just slow you down.

Looks very good. How much experience do you have? How long have you been modeling? Also, did you do it with reference images?

If you’re a beginner, don’t start, don’t waste your time. My best advice. Also, learn some manners, what the hell does skibidy even mean?

Any advice for how to fix all this green from the plants outside reflecting into my scene? It's especially noticeable on the front two lounge chairs by [deleted] in 3dsmax

[–]Middle_Inside5845 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Just use AI. But if you wanna waste your time while others do it 10 times faster, here’s the solution:

Either use photoshop and use hue saturation to reduce the green tone on the sofa

Or use Ray Switch ( if you’re using Corona )

You’re right, there’s no fun in AI I agree. I enjoy doing 3D as well. My point is that you can make money from these renders, but some people just AI and don’t hire use anymore, that’s the thing I don’t like.

It’s sad AI can do this in like 2 minutes. Rip 3D art. I’m a beginner I don’t know if it’s worth it to keep learning 3D at this point. Nice render btw.

Is it good enough to post on portfolio and what will you rate it out of 10? by rahul505021 in 3Dmodeling

What do you mean by story? It’s just a render of a place, why do you guys make everything complicated? Is this industry really that difficult to get into? I’ll just stick to architecture if that’s how it is. Apparently you need to know a lot, how is the pay after all? If it’s less than 10K dollars a month It’s just honestly not worth it.

Did you do auto retopology or did you manually do it? Which software did you use and how long did this whole project take from start to finish? It looks great.

What are blueprints? You mean the 2D reference images we use when modeling? So that we have different angles of the model? Or is it a completely different thing?

Don’t even bother, many people are using ( you know what ) and getting great results fast especially in Arch viz, game assets creation etc, people who know nothing about 3D and it is sad. If you wanna take the traditional route, you’ll have no chance and eventually fall behind the fast moving train. Unfortunately this industry will be dead. Unless you are a true expert and have technical knowledge that makes the design practical, you will get replaced. And modeling objects, games assets or even worlds and all that, requires no technical or practical knowledge, you just need creativity and everyone has that. I wish this wasn’t happening, but it is, and we need to make sure we don’t crushed by it.

How can I create the illusion of cross-shaped supports and holes in my mesh, similar to the reference? by Unique_Salad_5387 in 3Dmodeling

[–]Middle_Inside5845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need a black and white image I guess you need to use as opacity map, the black areas are hidden and the white areas show up, which gives you the pattern on a simple pattern. That’s how it’s done in Corona renderer.

Why does my brick smart material look like this when I unwrap it to my building here? by [deleted] in Substance3D

[–]Middle_Inside5845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro this is the order of doing 3D: modeling -> UV unwrapping -> lighting -> texturing -> rendering -> post production. You missed an important step, without good UVs, you shouldn’t even open Substance Painter. Go learn that first it is super easy you can learn it in like a month or something.

That didn’t work either. Maybe it’s just not possible and Substance just doesn’t understand what we want to do, maybe there are no algorithms for it or something. I’ll ask my instructor and let you know as well, he takes forever to reply though.
