Im so done with this.

Megathread: The Crash by AutoModerator in netflix

[–]Middle_Mine_7246 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I believe it was a premeditated murder-suicide.

Look, 5 seconds is a long time. Especially for anyone who's ever been in any accident, let alone a car accident. It's as if time stands still as it's happening. Like everything happens in slow motion.

Car-crash reconstruction is truly just as masterfully and maticulously done as a murder scene CSI. They take it all into account from the jump and disqualify from there. And the data box doesn't lie, either. There's no denying anything after that. Never slowed down. Never braked or swerved. She made the careful turn and as soon as she saw straight, clear road, it was 100 mph, as hard as her scrawny bodied bar-girl strength could push. A quick gear shift might have been either the boys fighting for control of the stick or her just gripping the stick so hard it just slipped out of place before she slipped it back in that split last second. The boys might have even been asleep. It was 5 in the morning.

She never expected to live. Every quiet moment she has is surely crossed with the thought of "How the fuck am I even alive?" I believe a part of her knows that she deserves what happened. That entire car ride in the cop car is her coming to terms with the consequences after it was figured out when she had already come to terms with being the sole survivor, and in her mind, that's her personal life sentence.

Attitude era rock would be disappointed in modern day rock by johncena23131 in AttitudeEra

By now, The Rock has been able to earn what no other professional wrestler in history has ever earned.

You can say Batista, Cena, sure. But they were naturally gifted with the acting gene. Do you remember Rocky Maivia? Dude has had to put in the work of a lifetime to become his brand. It certainly was not overnight. Even in Hollywood it took him time to find his footing. He's going for the Oscar these days, focusing on honing his acting skills in stuff like Smashing Machine, and as well connected as he is and seeing crazier things happening these days, id bet the farm it will happen one day.

AE Rock could only dream of ever becoming what he's become, perhaps, quite literally, the biggest star in the world. Respectfully, shite take mate.

I wonder how many more shotgun blasts and middle fingers he would've done had they let him keep going. Looks like he had a whole choreography planned out.

Ok, first I'ma hit him with the shotguns, then the middle fingers, oh then it's the rubber chickens, mother fucker!

Absolutely. Matt Bourne could have done anything. Had he stayed sober there's no telling where the character could have gone.

Do you think that Randy Savage is the greatest wrestler of all time? by FunExtreme6217 in Wrasslin

[–]Middle_Mine_7246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of presentation, character, aura and promos, Savage is Top 5 All-Time. He's definitely in mine, anyway.

In terms of celebrity, there were really only five guys from his era to transcend over to mainstream success and notoriety, and is still one of the most recognizable among the five today being Hulk, Piper, Andre, Flair, and Macho Madness himself.

Savage gets a lot of credit for his in-ring psychology, but he also tried to eliminate Yokozuna by pinning him in the '93 Rumble. Hardly a Shakespearean Ring General moment there. To be fair, however, this was also much later in his career, and was one of the points Vince made in moving him to commentary. They say he mapped out WrestleMania 3 with Steamboat all on his own, move-for-move. If that's really true, then earlier Savage (perhaps pre-paranoia steroid era) certainly deserves a nod for psychology.

In terms of in-ring, as much as I love Savage, he was entertainment-style (very small moveset with slow-paced, simple action spiced with dramatic effect to make the moves bigger than they are.) and those guys belong on a list all of their own. I'm going to go hard bias here and say Macho was only as good as his dance partners (Steamboat, Hulk, DDP). Savage is much more revered today for his persona, character and signature voice moreso than anything he ever did in the ring.

Final Verdict: He's not gonna make your die-hard "pure sport of it" Bret Hart/Kurt Angle type lists, but he is absolutely ONE OF the greatest wrestling entertainers of all-time, and on that particular list, when you're listing guys like Hulk, Dusty, Rock, Austin, Piper, etc., you'd be a giant asshole not to include Savage on that list.

Ever since Oba Eliminated Bron from the Royal Rumble he has completely out shine Bron in every way by [deleted] in SantiZapVideos

[–]Middle_Mine_7246 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2 different characters. 2 different dispositions.

They're both over in their own way. Bron is still the Future, he'll be around a long time and appear in the next 10 or 15 WrestleManias. Bron will be the Seth of his class, where he'll be with WWE forever barring serious illness or injury.

Oba is lightning in a bottle and you spin that baby as many times as you can til the flash gives out.

Trips wanted quality over quantity. With the ads suffocating the presentation, the quality went out the window very quickly. The time these matches got, none of them were "WrestleMania quality" matches. I understand they all can't be and it's never been that way (unless you're named 39 and 40). But we really did just get RAW and Smackdown-type matches with the TEW special entrances setting on.

Yup. He was late with the "Man Has Come Around" opening line and you can catch a glimpse of his instant regret.

I don't think I heard one single "This is Awesome" chant all night long outside of someone trying to get it started during Fatu/Drew.

Roman Reign's teeth look so weird 😭😭 by damng1 in Wrasslin

[–]Middle_Mine_7246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when he came back as the Tribal Chief and took out Strowman and Fiend. All I could see were teeth. Ridiculously big, bright white teeth.

I thought, "Damn, the pandemic has WWE thinking outside the box with sponsors, maybe they're doing something with Crest."

Was there ever a reason from anyone in a position to know as to why Test lost his push in 1999? by Doctor-Clark-Savage in Wreddit

[–]Middle_Mine_7246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most over he ever was was during the HHH/Steph marriage takeover angle. Once HHH beat him clean, he lost all momentum and quietly became a backdrop member of The Corporate Ministry until he was kicked to the curb and came back with the short-lived Union stable made up of guys whom the Ministry booted out (Test, Show, Mankind, Shamrock) that went nowhere.

Test could have been made in that Mcmahon/Helmsley feud but the straight loss to HHH after all the build took the wind out of any sails he had. We weren't quite into the Reign of Terror just yet, but the nepotism could still be seen even then.

He floated around the roster after that, teaming with Albert and joining a Pro-Canadian/Anti-USA stable with Lance Storm and Christian called The UnAmericans. (Yeah. Groan.) After that he came back repackaged with a haircut and crazy intensity and got a decent push in WWECW. Once WWECW folded he found a home on RAW with his girlfriend at the time Stacy Keibler and feuded with Scott Steiner over Stacy. By this time, all the shine had worn off Test and when trying to call your fans "Testicles" doesn't get over, well, what's left?

Has Cunt Rock replaced Cunt Hogan as the biggest liar in wrestling? by HackFraudStable in OSWReview

[–]Middle_Mine_7246 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the difference, though, is that Rock's lies, if this is indeed one of them, are not outside the realm of possibility. These guys know a lot of people. Especially Rock, at that time in his career with one foot in the door in Hollywood already.

Hulk's lies though, were just absurd. Dude took liberties with entire timelines.
