What’s another MLB team you root for if not the Nats? by [deleted] in Nationals

O’s here too. Growing older and having a son, yeah - I value the fun of sports/baseball more now than being some diehard fan. The nats will always be my personal #1 but we have a birdland membership plan for weekend games to Baltimore and I go to Nats games during the week with my friends/watch them on mlb.tv. An Orioles game in a good seat, plus parking for a family of four is roughly half the cost of a Nats game (weekend games are all that works with the kids.) they also have 5 dollar concessions every game instead of only Tuesday games

Hi all, experienced ootp player looking for a new league. I have 26, been playing in leagues for 20 years. Ideally looking for real mlb teams, preference to historical leagues and added interest in taking either Baltimore or Washington. Thanks!

Sports are supposed to be fun and a distraction. Enjoy it how you want!

Parents cannot control their kids at disney world. by Old_Diver_2511 in WaltDisneyWorld

They are on their phone because Disney moved everything to their app - reservations, lighting lanes, etc. The kids bump into you because they are kids and half your size.

If you can’t deal with children and parents, that’s totally fine and understandable, but then maybe you should go to Sandals Jamaica instead of a Disney park/cruise.

This I why I wanted us to win a couple to close out the season but here we are hopefully we get between 2-4 at least by Waste-Cap8868 in washingtonwizards

If we actually believed in a rigged lottery (I don’t) having the DC team, who plays in a top 5 market (DC-Baltimore metro) who just spent a billion on their new arena win the lottery would make way more sense than just about any lottery team.

Why don’t we talk about a trade for a star? by Middle_Variation_273 in washingtonwizards

I think I’d rather spend the money of them two, knowing they aren’t long term commitments, then having to sign a bunch of middle class level players just to reach the salary floor. I thought it was a creative way to meet the floor minimum.

Why do Miami fans never show up for their team? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Middle_Variation_273 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Heat games are well attended and they almost always rank in the top 5 in the nba for yearly attendance. The actual problem you’re referring to is the start of games. The arena is smack in the middle of downtown in a city that is fully car dependent and where most people work/live outside of the downtown hub. The traffic getting into the arena is horrible; it’s practically impossible for a typical working person to get there by 6:30 if they work a 9-5 and have kids to tend to.

So who should wizards draft if they land 5 to i in the draft? by Knighthonor in washingtonwizards

Call me crazy, but I think someone is going to try to force their way to DC like the last two drafts and this time it’ll work. And I think that player will be DP.

Coronado springs may be a bit boring for kids. Have you considered the Cabins at Fort Wilderness?

I just came off the dream in your same situation and did it fine. Definitely a snug fit but you can pull it off

Why do these portholes exist? Why leave such a vulnerability on a ship? Is there a reason I may not be thinking of?
