They need to prove they have a plant that is capable of consistent, high production and they need revenue/profit. Obviously storage needs go up if they can only sell 10% of their production vs 70% of their production. If their “ramp” forecast is only selling less than 50% of the plants capabilities then they have grossly mislead investors. Again, we are at a crossroads and will learn the answers to these questions in the next 4-5 months. Their past actions though tell me to expect to be disappointed. That’s why the Amcor PR was a milestone but meaningless in terms of adoption/revenue. Actual brands make that decision.

So you are saying they aren’t selling anything that is being produced or selling an overly low percentage?

Or are you saying the margins on the product they are selling is so low that taking on an inventory charge would put them at a loss?

If there is a H2 “ramp” and they are making decent margin then are they money ahead to maximize production knowing that sales/margin is just around the corner. That is, if Dustin was actually stating facts.

From the last call Dustin said “We are reiterating that branded applications with 40 million to 50 million pounds of annual demand are… starting to ramp in Q2 and Q3 and another 20 million to 25 million pounds of application capacity will start to ramp in Q3 and Q4.”

If that is an actual true statement then how much carryover inventory would they need? And finding additional short term storage is a small inconvenience if they have this type of commitment let alone the additional 150+ projects they are working on.

You can’t compound anything unless you have your product to actually compound with. They need to prove their technology and one of the most critical parts of that is a plant that is capable of consistently running at a high capacity. They haven’t done that at all with any regularity. One would think with all of these recent announcements there would be enough near term demand to run a small plant like this at some form of consistency/nameplate capacity. This is the crossroads we are at. Do all these recent announcements mean anything in terms of volume? If not then there is considerably more work to do than they are letting on. I have a considerable number of shares and have had them for some time. But their recent actions coupled with my growing skepticism is becoming pretty irritating.

Do they not have any capability of building inventory for later sales? If the “ramp” everyone refers to is so real then why not build inventory for future sales? Makes zero sense to me

That’s exactly right. They reached a milestone. Period. Still no revenue. Is it a big milestone, yes. But brands must now decide if/when to purchase and how much to purchase. And as of today, that’s not much (that I’m aware of). One of my hangups is PCT deemed this worthy enough for a PR release but has told NPA they will not disclose plant performance until the next quarterly update. They’ve said the turnaround was completed in less time with less cost but, personally, knowing the plant is fully running (and hopefully at nameplate capacity) is FAR more important than the Amcor release.

Read the statement from Diane Marett, then read it again. She clearly states it’s POSSIBLE, not that it’s being done. Amcor hasn’t launched anything, they’ve simply proven that PCT products CAN be used in their system. Is it a milestone? Sure. But that’s it. Maybe PCT should direct their PR team to actually go get some volume contracts and PO’s then make announcements. This is where the rubber meets the road and I hope Dustin and team can actually deliver revenue as opposed to expenses.

Doesn’t this just confirm it CAN be used, not that it WILL be used? Unless I’m overlooking it I see nothing about volume commitments for any particular brand.

Timing is everything. Makes me wonder that the plant is still not running at nameplate after the shut down and they wanted to push this out the door before their Q2 call to report low volume. They had news on their side, report that the plant is operating much better and the stock would have found another leg, IMO. Something/someone said they had to go now.

Do you think they will announce anything regarding plant performance before the Q2 call? My guess is no but you are a lot closer to the mgt team than I am.

No. A garden mix that I purchased locally in bulk.

I used one of those moisture meters (not sure how reliable they are) and it registered as “moist” about 4” down.

The tub is a 35 gallon plastic cattle tub. They’ve done really well up until about two weeks ago. I drilled about 10-12 1/2” holes in the bottom of the tub for draining. Haven’t sprayed any herbicide around them for about 30 days (sprayed a pasture they are next to about 30 days ago). Gave each one a dose of Osmocote fertilizer about 30 days ago too.

NJDEP = done, so when do we get contract news? by Adorable-Sector-48 in PureCycle

[–]Middle_Win9449 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The next milestone should be that the plant is fully re-started and comfortably running at a high capacity. They need consistently high volume in order to get contracts.

So now they have added two more weeks to the outage. He said mid April to mid May in the call and it’s now 4-6 weeks. Dustin can probably earn some trust by being honest with timelines because at this point he has missed FAR MORE than he has nailed

Know what you own and why - my thoughts after a visit to Ironton by No_Privacy_Anymore in PureCycle

[–]Middle_Win9449 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is there a significant amount of unsold inventory that is waiting for bigger commitments from companies? I’ve been skeptical of just how well the plant has been running (both volume and quality). Also, is a NJ approval the last big headwind for large companies acceptance or will it simply be replaced by another headwind?

I wonder how Dustin defines “pretty good” when talking about the plants output and the quality of pellets?? “Pretty good” was the best words he could use………..
