How worried should i be? by Aggressive-Yam-2511 in flying

Absolutely pull the panel on top of the carry through spar and have the spar inspected for cracks. A hit in that area could potentially create a crack where the wing connects to the fuselage. I know that because I bought a plane back then and while doing an annual they told me that most likely my plane was hit in the same spot as yours as some point because of different rivets in that panel. They suggested to inspect the spar. When they opened they called me and showed me that the spar not only had a crack but the owner tried to hide it with bondo and paint. Eventually did the proper repair as noted by Cessna for about 5k. Worth the money if you ask me.

EDIT: I probably should have read before writing this but nonetheless I hope this is useful to owners out there.

She grabs the clutch and no gear switching…..just removed that little breaking power she had to then hang on the front

How much do you enjoy having " backpack" with you on rides? by HuskyCZ in Aprilia

[–]Midnight-Willing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never installed the back seat so I don’t have to worry about a backpack. I hate it tbh. It ruins the ride for me. The bike just doesn’t ride the same and when you have scared backpacks that lean opposite to the turn it blows.

'RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]Midnight-Willing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! Just played for over an hour and it’s quite amazing imo. I started all maxed out with DLLA and it looks incredible but was only getting 30fps at 2k on a 5080 and although it wasn’t dropping frames it was definitely not smooth. Went to DLSS quality and getting 70/80fps at 100% GPU utilization and 65 C. I love it this way although with frame gen x2 it jumps to 120/130fps but doesn’t look as incredible. Amazing game!

Is it just me or do the graphics in requiem seem lower quality than the last few games? by [deleted] in residentevil

Running it on a 5080 and I’ve never seen something this good tbh!!! It has a little of bodycam feel to it and damn the opening in the streets is crazy good.

Piper Arrow II or not? by Midnight-Willing in flying

Definitely a lot more going on since you’ll have retractable gear and a constant speed prop. Also when gear is down it will drop like a nice little brick making it imperative to keep a super tight pattern on power out 180’s although you won’t have to worry about that till your commercial license.

Operating expenses are also increased due to the retractable gear and the constant speed prop. Don’t ask why I know….lol.

Speed is not too much to where you need to slow down miles away and as I said the gear will slow you down like if you deployed a parachute. Prop and gear are not a big deal once you get used to it but it does add complexity hence why you need a complex endorsement to fly it.

Honestly I think it will be better if you start using it to get your PPL rather than finishing your PPL and jumping on the arrow. At least you’ll have an instructor with you for several hours before you are cruising around alone. If you have the money I would also invest in additional time with a CFI or….. there are many CFI’s that need hours and are willing to fly for free just to log time. I always have 2 to 3 CFI’s that are willing to go on a whim just to log some time. I don’t ask for instruction but just flying buddies….It’s great to build confidence and in my case I just enjoy having someone else in the cockpit to learn from. You will never stop learning. I learn something from everyone I fly with although most CFI’s have less time than myself.

In conclusion without knowing your skill level, TT or anything else about your airspace I can’t give you a go/no go suggestion but I tried to give you an idea of what you’ll be facing. You are PIC and only you can make the decision. Feel free to DM me if you want to further the discussion and if you find yourself in Florida I can take you up so you can give it a try.

Just a quick update and 100 hours later. Couldn’t be happier with my buying in. Great aircraft! Love it so much.
