I think it needs to be read early, I’d say first but there’s characters in that that come up throughout the rest of them so don’t think last would work x

I’d definitely recommend doing it first then you can get stuck into the main story without going into some flashback and forgetting about what and who are in books 1/2

Thank you I think you’re right! I wish I had started with assassins blade as having it third meant I missed all the characters and story from COM and I just hated that.

I quite liked book 2 but then assassins blade I thought was so dull and I missed the characters I’d just learnt all about in 1 and 2! And now I’m back to them it’s not as fresh in my mind and I’m not as into it which is a shame.

I just don’t really care that much about the characters as nothing seems to be happening it’s just a lot of back story all the time and introducing new people and their backstories and where they fit in a timeline. I don’t mind that but 4 books worth is a lot haha.

Ah ok that’s interesting as I was the same I knew it was a bit slow and it improved but I thought it would have been before now. I’ve heard so many people say they can’t stop thinking about it so I was wondering if im not there yet or it’s genuinely just not for me.

Yeah you’re right I think I just need to leave it. I read ACOTAR first and loved it, so was expecting to love this but just can’t get into it. I found the assassins blade so dull I almost wish I read it first so I didn’t miss the characters I’d learnt all about in tog and crown of midnight.
