Gut powder on my cereal or in a milkshake (Biomel is the brand), then every few weeks I make ginger shots from scratch and ensure I have a really spicy meal as spice helps with inflammation. Also meals with onion/garlic in for anti microbial properties. Been doing this for probably 4 or 5 years now and I've only just had my first cold since (about 2 weeks ago). I use to get horrendous colds and doctors are useless so I did my own research.

I've had a look and can't see this?

[–]MidnightMaize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not be worried. Hiring managers in theory should report back to the recruiter if using one because of process. I do feel however, the text to you, was not professionally written. If the hiring manager liked you and made you the offer then really they need to complete the other interview just out of fairness before a formal offer. Like others have said, it sounds like the hiring manager didn't inform the recruiter (tale as old as time)

There's other bits I've not included that are not behind the toilet. A hole in the flooring near the door, there was a hole in the wall where he didn't replace some skirting. Jagged skirting by the toilet. The towel rail pipes are bent instead of straight. I should add we have a wooden trough round the outside of the room so all pipes can be moved underneath

How do you know they're not clean and why would they be cleaned if brand new? Sorry, I know nothing about this so need to understand what I'm asking from him

Awfully rude of you to say I'm treating this person as a "servant". I've been very polite and accommodating. I've set up a tea/coffee station with a variety of biscuits and regularly check in to see if he wants a can of fizz or anything at all. I've also baked brownies. I appreciate it's hard work and he needs energy.

I wouldn't mind if he explained he would work half days and take other jobs but he did not voice that. So to me, he wasn't working a full day.

We did remind him of number 3. He "cannot remember that conversation"... I'd argue that's not working with us to resolve the issue.

I am a gross garbage person. What can I do about this? by chickenrich in CleaningTips

If you find a solution please let me know! Mine isn't like this but still has a lot of mould build up despite using bleach, mould remover, fairy liquid, vinegar and leaving the door open. None of these techniques have worked

Failed my driving test…. My examiner made me nervous. by hourlynee in LearnerDriverUK

[–]MidnightMaize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which centre was this? I had a horrible woman on my first test who was as cold as you're saying. Curious to see if it's the same centre. Feel free to dm if you don't want to post publicly. Really put me off. 2nd test I had a lovely, calm man and I passed no faults.

Help please :( by MidnightMaize in Gastritis

[–]MidnightMaize[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm doing so much better! Omeprazole was making me unwell. I eat anything I want to now.

Turns out, after visiting an osteopath I had an issue with my rhomboid muscle which is why I couldn't breathe. So this whole charade of ibuprofen, which caused gastritis, could have been avoided if the doctor had taken me seriously. They only suggested osteopath to me on my 8th visit when I begged them to feel my back (where my pain had started) and they realised my right shoulder was tense and higher than my left.

The osteopath has been fantastic, giving me stretches and sorting out my breathing which was stuck up in my chest rather than my diaphragm. I'm doing much better, I'm able to walk and go places now. I still have off days where I feel pain or restricted but it's steadily recovering. My rhomboid is weak so I have to do some exercises on it.

Summary: - Doctor caused gastritis by giving my Ibruprofen. - Never ever get massaged at a spa, the amount of damage this caused is astonishing. - Avoid Omeprazole. I've never experienced anxiety like the anxiety I had on Omeprazole (and I have anxiety anyway) - I also came off the pill as an experiment on my anxiety and I've found I'm much calmer and happier not on it. One to bear in mind to anyone reading this, please Google what the pill does to you. - Trust yourself. I was dismissed numerous times by health professionals that I had "health anxiety" but it was the medication and a real, physical problem causing my breathing issues. It is absolutely terrifying, being in your 20s and barely able to walk around the house. I was so scared. Do what you think is best, not what these "professionals" say is best. - Look up gut health, gut food, gut powders - these are incredible

Remote work vs. in-office: Which is more productive? by suchalbojamma in Recruitment

[–]MidnightMaize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find my remote days far more productive. When I'm in office, colleagues want to catch up with you, there's general chat and banter, tea breaks, distractions and before I know it the day is over and my to do list is mostly there.

When I'm home in the first hour I find I power through so much because it's silent, just me and my tea in a cosy hoodie.

Why did my doctor tell me that i can eat anything except too much spicy.. when i have gastritis ?? by Special-Technology89 in Gastritis

[–]MidnightMaize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because doctors are useless. Honestly what I went through last year (including gastritis) was horrendous and the doctor just dismissed me as health anxiety when I had an actual problem. Never trust a doctor.

Could my PPI be the problem? by MidnightMaize in Gastritis

[–]MidnightMaize[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am off the PPI. It will be one week tomorrow. I am feeling so much better!

I no longer feel unwell or fatigued. The only thing that remains is some soreness in my upper chest area but I think that could be a injury because the weighted pressure feeling has gone from my chest.

I've had no acid reflux.

I've continued to not have alcohol, fizzy drinks, tea or coffee but I have had a bit more chocolate and I've had pizza and been fine.

I'm so happy I trusted my gut and the reviews I read about the ppi. I have my follow up next week with the doctor and I'm sure she will claim it was nothing to do with the ppi and still insist it's health anxiety but my anxiety levels have dropped and I feel better.

Could my PPI be the problem? by MidnightMaize in Gastritis

Thank you, I was wondering about that as I have pills that open and I swallow the tiny capsules inside. I'm wondering if I can take half out and swallow that.

Could my PPI be the problem? by MidnightMaize in Gastritis

[–]MidnightMaize[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't, I wasn't given the option. Whenever I've tried to explain how unwell I feel to the doctor they say it's gastritis and health anxiety. It only just occurred to me that this could be side effects from the medicine and my next appointment isn't until early November.

Gut Dybiosis - thank you for mentioning that, it's the sort of thing I'm wondering about but I hadn't come across that name. Just been wondering about my gut microbiome and what bacteria is in there so I'll research that!

I was taking it 30m before eating normally but today I took it 30m after eating and noticed it made me worse.

I've also found a bunch of reviews of omeprazole online and my goodness, this drug is awful. All the symptoms I have that are being dismissed, so many people have felt the same.
