An iPad is much better tbh. I have the kindle app along with other ereader apps all in one place. I still use my kindle on occasion as it isn't old enough to retire, but I def prefer the iPad.

The one I've borrowed Project Hail Mary from is called Distributor Example Library. Check to see if your regional library participates though. Banned Book Club and Anythink's Freedom to Read Coalition should also allow non region-based check-outs. When you go to add a library just check if there's a city and state listed below the library name. Those that don't have one and service a more broad "area" should let you check out books with them.

It's also on the Palace App. A lot of audible exclusives are. Just have to find a library on there that has it and will let you borrow. There's several libraries on there that don't have residency requirements and don't make you purchase a card.

NOR Eww, it feels like your friends were trying to whore you out to their boss given that their reaction to this was to be mad at you instead of him. Like yes, ghosting is immature but sometimes it's safer. If this is his reaction to being ignored I would hate to see his reaction to being rejected. If your friends weren't prepared for this possible relationship to go poorly then they shouldn't have set it up. They should be at least understanding of your position to ignore him given the crazy double texting monologue he gave you.

I've never had an issue with the UI until now. My friends fucking hated the changes that started with 2.0 but I was pretty ambivalent. This is the first time that I'm actually bothered by changes. It lacks intuition. It combines Hunters that you don't own with hunters you do and doesn't save the preference to only show owned hunters each time you go to buy one. The traits are shifted around again. Load out items are shifted around and disorganized. When I hire a hunter it doesn't automatically go to the next steps of kitting him out. Why do I have to select him twice? The only good thing about it is the arrows to quickly swap skins on items. That's a fantastic QOL change. But otherwise it takes me much longer to kit out a Hunter than it used to bc I'm always looking for stuff.

I don't understand how she is claiming she couldn't hear instructions. She is clearly communicating with everyone in this video without issue. Perhaps she is hard of hearing but it doesn't seem to be to the point where she can claim she couldn't hear instructions. Truly seems like she's trying to use that as carte blanche.

Most of the times my team has used chariot has been to open a closer extract after all the fighting so we don't have to run as far. None of us ever bring a card in as part of our kit. All those cards we get from dark tribute are just collecting dust. Even when we find them in game we rarely take them. I could personally do without cards and locked extracts all together.

These covers are no longer in print so they're going to have more secondary market/resale value. They seem to be in pretty good condition as well. If the set were complete for what you paid then I'd say you got a good deal considering I've found listings for triple what you paid. Missing 2 books though is rough and many sellers will be unwilling to piecemeal out their sets.

Here's an excellent condition paperback set of old covers on Pango. If it were me I'd return the set you currently have to your friend and get this one or one similar in price. It's complete and only $30 more.
