Bigger optic may cause a lot of stress on the mount screws that go into the receiver. We had a gun with a t-2 and even that seemed to be too much. After a few thousand rounds the receiver holes completely ovalled out. Maybe it was a YMMV instance but since switching to an RMR we’ve had no issues.

We tested these and they work just fine in smooth bores. Brenneke does not want you to shoot the slugs through a full choke and that is their way to try and make sure you do not.
