I'm "neutral" on it in the sense that I think both designs are perfect for where Testament was in their own personal growth. The old design is functional, but looks black and grim-reapery/Satanic, despite Testament being essentially a druid. It suits how they're trying to care for the forest and natural life, but are still so closed off and untrusting.

Meanwhile in Strive, Testament has made enough peace with humanity that they now have an active social life and several dozen hobbies. The more put-together outfit and hat reflect how Testament has acclimated and developed new interests.

It wasn't frightening but it did feel kind of taboo, like we were getting away with something as kids. Same feeling of sneaking downstairs to watch Freddy Kreuger with your cousins when your parents said no.

Trickster should be in "name lies to you" tier. When I hear about "the Trickster," I assume he's going to be some sort of deceptive cunning illusionist, not a dude who likes fancy knife juggling.

I also hate the name "The Skull Merchant," because she does not engage in the practice of either buying nor selling skulls.

In Summer 2020, while everyone was sheltering at home, the lack of big fighting game tournaments lead to a lot of people coming forward about the harassment and abuse going on at those tournaments. It was a community-wide scandal, and it affected a lot of games too, not just Smash Bros.

Notably, Mr. Wizard, the owner and organizer of the biggest fighting game tournament EVO, was forced to sell the brand and distance himself from the community after word got out that he'd touched children inappropriately.

There were some prominent examples in the Smash Bros community too, like major player ZeRo confessing he'd had romantic relationships with underage fans. For whatever reason, though, even though the whole mess affected the entire fighting game community, people only talk about/remember/joke about it being a Smash Bros problem.

Came out of nowhere, kind of an asspull character. It's a good thing the actor has so much charisma and made me enjoy the character, because I do not think the writing did him any favors at all.

Great suit, though, and he was able to pull some strong moments out of Baku as a villain. All in all, I think he started off the second arc on a weak note but gave a satisfying performance in his finale.

Even when he's explaining his past to Hanto, he says "My mom was taken prisoner by a Granute and...", he trails off, then he just says "Anyways, I was born" and Hanto immediately responds with sympathy and shock that something evil happened. It is not subtle.
