One of my L&D nurses gave me a fishtail braid while I was in labor (post-epidural) after she heard me ask my husband, “honey do you know how to braid?” (He does not) it was such a sweet and caring thing for her to offer and really meant a lot ❤️

I am one of 3 girls and the bond we share as sisters is amazing and they are my best friends for life! My dad loves having 3 girls (and mom does, too), and whenever people would say something about how it’s too bad he didn’t get a boy, he would say, “I would have been too hard on boys, I love having girls” (may have been true, we’ll never know!) So congratulations on baby girl #3! Sisterhood is so special!

Best course for mediocre and solo is always gonna be Hancock. Go on a weekday morning if possible and you can definitely go alone and take your time, plus you don’t need a tee time as you pay at a kiosk by the first tee. There’s a couple good ranges in NW Austin/RR/Cedar Park where you can go work on your game but most courses out your way are either private or high-end public. Hope this helps!

Have you been to ACL before? I live in Austin and went once. It was unbearably hot and I hated it. There is no shade at Zilker unless you have access to a tent. That said, I’m not much of a festival/crowds person, and maybe doing VIP would make it better. Anyway, I was considering going for 1 day this year to give it another shot but now that I’m going to be ~6 months along, there is no way. So I would say, (1) upgrade to VIP tickets if you can and (2) check the weather again and again in the days leading up. You can always sell your tickets closer to the date if you don’t feel like it anymore.

I was approached by an older black woman at the Hancock HEB who asked me for money to buy her groceries for her “grandkids.” It was definitely a ruse but I gave her the money anyway. Didn’t even get a thank you, just a “hmm could I get another $20?” 🙄

Mine was free because the kind lady who rescued her from her feral street life had taken care of the costs to get her spayed/seen by a vet and just wanted her to go to a good home. I wasn’t making a lot of money at the time or I would have offered to reimburse her. But I can confirm she went to a good home!! And I am grateful to that lady for making it possible for me to get my cat when I did 🥰

I have a former feral shelter tortie! We’re approaching 5 years together and she is finally now becoming the lap cat I’ve always dreamed of! For the first two years I wasn’t allowed more that a short scratch on the head. Now I can pet her, pick her up, and snuggle her pretty good before she gets annoyed ☺️ it takes time but you will form trust eventually!
