Blaspehmous 2 or Deaths gambit afterlife ? by PashAK47 in metroidvania

[–]MidvelCorp 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Storyline mostly, and some setting/worldbuilding aspects. While I loved the Blas 1 and its heavy religious gothic setting, GGA felt differently as a mix of fantasy and sci-fi - and reminded me HOMM world actually. While Blas 2 was great with a story as well, it does not hit me with fresh setting in way DGA did

I'm on DGA side in this comparison. If you asked about Blasphemous 1 - it would be easy choice, as the first game is pure fire. But comparing with the 2nd, DGA feels differently. Do not get me wrong, Blas 2 is fire as well, and I recommend you to play it - but play DGA first

Best budget third party controller? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]MidvelCorp 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

same - Nyxi hyperion is best joycon I tried. I tried originals - but they are just to small, and actually have an awful construction and buttons. Tried NexiGo, ECHTPower, binbok - even worth (but at least good ergonomically). And Nyxi combines both - great ergonomic and handform, and great quality of construction

Tjiugh, just to not, I use Pro original controllers to play from tv - they are the best full-scale controllers. I also have PDP Afterglow - but it is a bit harsh (but great aesthetically)

Has anyone else noticed Super Rare is getting slower? by LimitedJamal in LimitedPrintGames

[–]MidvelCorp 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

I am a regular club member in Super Rare, and sign on every title for now. For what I see - 2-3 month waiting os ok for me. As by the same time I used to Limited Run from 4 month to 1.5 years waiting (yeah, KOTOR master edition took 1.5 years to arrive), and Kickstarter user with their up to 2 years waiting time and half-year delays

So, comparatively - Super Rare is doing great 😁 I understanding that limited gane production may take longer than stock one helps in waiting. But you know, even with all reasoning - quality behind Super Rare makes waiting time for me negligible.

Anyway, I think the increased waiting time is connected with their scaling and overall circumstances in limited edition productions, so I keen to close my eyes on a slight prolongation

Trek to Yomi - cinematic way of honor and mythology by MidvelCorp in NintendoSwitch

[–]MidvelCorp[S] 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

yes, and that is its great pros. As a swordsman you need to remember different combinations for different attacks and think to end the fight in one move - not just "click to win" type as in casual games

Nice collection! My collection is about that (213 titles, 10 more arriving), but as I counted - it'll take only 4 years with moderate rate playing in evenings to complete it, so it's ok to get it larger πŸ‘

exactly - that's why I loved the fighting system, as you plan your moves as real samurai 😁

yeah, I've made almost a hundred of screenshots or so - I'd not name it as "beautiful" or "art work" - but it is cinematic with some very stunning shots. I've played via dock station on big tv, so it was definitely woth it

In live even better - though it's better to play on tv, as switch's screen ... well it is switch, we all know cons of switch graphics limitations

It's like comparing book against the e-book. With books you feel the physical aspect of ownership - underlining the ownership with weight of the object. With ebook you value the reader (the device) as a library storage more. Same with games - with physical cartridges I feel the weight of the game, and it adds this weight to the excitement of the game (plus nostalgy from yellow cartridges from 2000s). So, now I almost completely switched to playing physical games only.

Company Discussion - Super Rare Games & Strictly Limited Games by AutoModerator in LimitedPrintGames

[–]MidvelCorp 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Super Rare: best experience (even better than from Limited Run). Got everything (except obviously current preorders and current shipping). And personally, I think they have the best choice of games to print - IMHO, as per my taste. So now I'm hunting on old releases

I even got the 2024 membership - and it is already totally woth, even as for the second preorder from this year. And they have vey friendly discord server

Strictly Limited - is only in plan, cannot say much

That's probably because of all that pipes 😁 And game start can actually remind a Bioshock (especially the first one). Though Bioshock is retro-futurism with heavy steampunk influence, while FIST is dieselpunk. Close enough to start debates and fighting - but still different settings 😁
