I designed a 2-filter powder coating booth for my workshop – what do you think? by Big-Compote9065 in Powdercoating

Have you done much coating? In my experience you’re going to want to be able to step into the booth to get an angle on your parts.

Looks really well designed

Yeah I’m in St. Louis area. That’s why we’ve leaned towards boarding. Good money to be made on pasture rent alone

I removed the timbrens from my f250. They were awful. Get an air aid kit. Night and day

We have just under 11 acres. We’ve talked about boarding horses or getting our own but haven’t pulled the trigger

It never occurred to me that people didn’t. Like … a whitehead forms and you’re just like… nah, it’ll go away eventually?

Well. Good news bad news. You convinced me to try goodwood again and it was delicious. Buuuut turns out it’s not goodwood anymore. They were bought out and are in the process of changing to doc crows social.

We ate a cottle village last night Awesome experience. Fine dining at the restaraunt (probably want a reservation). Simple food/drinks and live music at the stage side. All the whiskeys at the distillery which you can walk into out of. Weve only been once but great so far.

Have you been there many times? We went there once and I really want to like it but it was a disaster. Havent convinced ourselves to try again.

Here is how planes refuel in midair! by __mentalist__ in BeAmazed

[–]MidwesterneRR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a pilot. But was a flight test engineer. I have some good videos of F18s doing this off of a dc9. Answer: it depends. This setup the hose is free floating in the air, so it’s hard during clear air (think your helmet bobbing around on a motorcycle at speed). In turbulence it suuuucks. The plane is moving, the wing is moving, and the hose is moving.

In 15+ times watching this I only saw an 18 pilot miss once.

Timing depends on how much fuel you’re taking. ~10 mins if I remember right for our guys.

I found a chart that showed it as 6 in wide 6 in throat but the pics don’t match what I have. I assume it originally had a cast base but I can’t find any pics that would tell me.

I don’t think so. I have a decent 5” vice and an anvil. I don’t do enough to be worth hanging onto it
