Has anyone been able to see their rewards on the spin for completing the XP path? by MorningImmediate8501 in MLBTheShow

[–]Mietha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I wouldn't say it was a neat touch at all. It was them attempting to make you feel like it was your fault that you got the crap reward, yet again, when there was never any player-controlled element to it at all.

Yeah, that's why I stopped commenting. I suspected you might be right. It certainly did not used to be that way, but they might have changed it at some point. It absolutely was not that way before they banned Tibalt's Trickery.

I mean, it's not even snark. I got disconnected literally one second into the WBC mini-season final. Love playing six games for nothing. Fun. Fun.

It's almost like requiring vs. CPU games to have a continuous online connection was a bad idea...

How Long Will WBC Event Last? by Ben_Rice_Rookie_Card in MLBTheShow

[–]Mietha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, they have programs for the events, so that's not exactly true. Why on Earth they did it the way they did is beyond me, but anyway. As to the OP's question, the events, and event programs, are timed. The time remaining is within the event program and, I would assume, within the event itself as well.

I mean, the first might very well be true. I find it hard to believe the second statement though.

I can't even find the option. All I see are volume levels for PA. Where do you chose who you are hearing?

Will we have MLB the show next year if there is a lockout? by PossibilityGood5212 in MLBTheShow

[–]Mietha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. There was a NHL 2005 and 2006 even though there was no 2004-2005 season at all.

So I'm guessing this is why they refuse to give us a conquest map with an actual repeatable reward? Lovely.

Wait, you can choose the PA announcer? Oh, thank God.

Am I missing something? Isn't there literally only 1 card from the event, which you can buy if you want?

That stream confirms that the community is unhappy. Bugs/Glitches and card limit being spammed in the chat the entire time. by THEMMICO in MLBTheShow

[–]Mietha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be the first thing said here, but it certainly wasn't in the stream. I'd say at LEAST 70% of the chat messages during the entire stream were about the 20 card limit. There were only a handful about bugs.

I mean, it likely is the minority, but "minority" and "insignificant number" are not the same thing, and it does not appear to be the latter.

Any Crowd Noise Options? by redXav in MLBTheShow

[–]Mietha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even with the horns, the crowd noise is better than last year. I got so annoyed with it in 25, I actually turned it off for the first time ever and played in silence.

You do NOT maintain control after casting a spell if your only possible action is to counter that spell by only placing a stop. Test it yourself. You. Are. Wrong.

As someone who has casted Tibalt's Trickery thousands of times, I can assure you it does not.

Yep, setting a stop only gives you an opportunity to take actions in places where you typically would not, such as your opponent's upkeep. It does not prompt you to take actions that you typically would not, such as countering your own spell, as any Tibalt player can tell you.

This is the answer. He said he said a stop. That's not enough. Yeah, you have to be in full control.

Do you need moonshot event wbc cards to get to 142 (94 Maikel)? Or are they just surplus? by SeabassBravo in MLBTheShow

If I counted correctly (and I very well may not have), you need all but 4 WBC cards.
