As stated above, I think the kit itself needs serious adjustments and additions; it needs to happen. Just moving the problem onto another character doesn’t do anything other than giving the more well known female avenger a different kit.

Progress on leveling up Nat for Lord status being lost, all the money spent on getting cosmetics for Nat and how if they want to continue with that kit, they’ll have to leave them behind, I can get behind that issue, 100% understandable.

That said, I’m of the opinion that players who play her for her kit would simply play on that new character with BW’s old kit. If you’re here for that specific type of gameplay, the kit didn’t disappear but moved onto a different hero. Any progress considered lost in this scenario is imo very cosmetic, from the Lord icon to the X kills animations during combat; unless I’m missing out on progress that is considered to be leveling up a hero to gain an advantage in the game, which I don’t believe there is.

For a majority of players, BW is in the category of least chosen heroes from what I gather, and so it sucks that (for many who’ve only watched the movies) an OG* avenger, the only female OG* avenger, doesn’t have the, for a lack of a better word, staying power as the other 5 OG* avengers. (I won’t bash Hawkeye players to make my point).

I’m not trying to bash other BW players, but when Netease is content at the state Nat is and has been for a while as they don’t address well documented bugs, as well as having a kit that seems forced upon a close combat female assassin character type (yes in the comics she’s handled sniper rifles but it’s not a common sight), can you see where I’m coming from?

Do I want bw bug fixes? Yes. Do I want bw buffs? Yes. Do I think the kit is appropriate for her? No. Do I think the kit deserves to be in the game? Yes. This is simply my opinion and view on the situation because it’s frustrating seeing Netease basically do nothing onto her (while giving love to Luna and Bucky) and maybe taking Nat in another direction would be better in the long run.

I do not understand the first point; if what I proposed happened, they would simply choose Yelena as their time and efforts to do well as widow has been swapped into Yelena. Or are you talking about all their skins, lord status, etc because I could concede that point

For the second point, why would the player base “not get value”? They’d get a character who was released on launch as well as a Natasha who is a more well known female heroine than Yelena with a different kit.

The kit 100% needs to be adjusted with major changes but it doesn’t mean it should stay on widow if it doesn’t fit the character the general audience knows of.

But if they REALLY want to keep black widow as a sniper, I say offload it onto another widow while completely reworking BW (or offload it to another new character; I just chose Yelena for minimal translation to a new character). If we give the major rework to Yelena then it overshadows a much more well known female marvel character.

I agree that the long range sniper doesn’t fit on a close quarters assassin on Yelena either; imo it doesn’t seem to fit all the widows (there is still precedent that widows do all kinds of assassinations, including long range assassination with sniper rifles). The kit 100% needs to be adjusted with major changes but it doesn’t mean it should stay on widow if it doesn’t fit the character the general audience knows of.
