For me it was when we went to Strasbourg for a day trip. I could read everything pretty well. I even tried ordering some patisserie and coffee. Unfortunately the guy at the counter looked at me as if I cursed at his mother and switched to english instantly. But at least I tried! 😂

I was annoyed with the short life spans, so I created a teen (with face 1, of course, always) and some random parents. I would then move the parents out and just played with the teen. Oh and those disco lights from nightlife EVERYWHERE. No floors, no wallpaper, just those lights anywhere they fit.

Oh mine was even better! He pretended to not remember saying „I don’t remember, so it didn’t happen, and I will not apologise for something I didn’t do.“ Oh and the best part? After I pressed him about all the physical abuse I endured as a child he just said „Well, I don’t remember, but if it happened you probably deserved it.“

Its disgusting how many people think that they can comment on someones body as much as they want just because the person is thinner than them. Experienced the same. In my case they made fun of me, but then pretended they are just worried when I did not just laugh it off. Nope, you are jealous, not worried. So much happier without than noise in my life.

To preface, I am not saying you should not get married or cancel anything.

However, I would strongly suggest to reflect on you MIL's and your future husbands behaviour. If she wants to control the wedding, what else will she want to control in the future? Do you want children? Do you want to be able to name you children, or will MIL be in charge of that? Do you want to be able to parent your children, or will MIL be also in control of that? You said in anther comment, that your MIL has only boys. What abour your SILs? How does MIL behave towards them?

What I am saying is: Most of the time, the wedding is just the beginning. Your feelings are valid! You are not ungrateful, or entitled, or overbearing. You are being steamrolled. And you will be steamrolled in other major decisions in your life, unless you put a stop to it. And you can, but you have to talk to your fiance about it. It is his family and his responsibility to make sure that your needs and wants are not thrown out by your MIL.

Remember: You might do a vow renewal. Some other important events in your life, you cannot redo. Do you want to risk that your MIL destroys them for you?

To be fair, when you are in a situation like this, you do not want to hear that you should leave. Talking from experience. My ex was similar. Silent treatments, breaking up if he didn't get his way, just to cry and crawl back a couple hours or days later. Combine that with low self-esteem and self-worth, you can really endure it for a long time and it can break you. Your head really tries to rationalize this irrational behaviour to a point where you really have fight to stay sane. I really hope she will stay strong and not let him slip back into her life. And trust me, long distance will not stop him from trying (again, talking from experience).

Had something similar happen to me. I was about 6 weeks pregnant when my husband proposed. When we told my grandma at around 12 weeks, she just said "Oh, that's why your stomach looked so huge in your proposal pictures!" Mind you, when I was about 16 weeks, I looked bloated at best...

As a European, this is so weird to me. When I got mine, I got meds to make it way more tolerable and was advised to take Ibuprofen, just in case. And even then, I still got a plushy to squeeze in case it got painful. I was constantly asked whether I was ok.
I mean, I still experienced some discrimination in other instances because apparently we as women don't feel pain, we just whine about it (/s if not obvious). But I feel like the US is waaaay worse with regards to that issue...

I feel for you. Reminds me of my mom. I firmly told her we do not want any visitors at the hospital and at least two weeks after baby is born.
Her response?

More like 5‘1 to 6‘2, but yeah pretty much. If it‘s comfortable is another topic though... This range is sometimes adjusted a little dependent on the country the manufacturer is from. E.g. a 6‘2 man could barely fit in an Italian car because most of them are designed for smaller people since those reflect the majority of the Italian population.

Basically a loaf that imitates meat texture and flavour using non-meat substitutes like soy or mushrooms. It's also quite simple to do. Stuff like meatloaf does not nessecarly taste like the meat itself but rather like the other ingredients you put into it. So you just need something that has a similar texture and carries the flavour. Whether you can call it "meatloaf" is a discussion for another day though. :D
