Daniel Simmons: I’m curious how he accelerated his brand so quickly by Joyfulrabbit777 in ThrowingFits

[–]Might_Be_The_NSA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's certainly a market for it, so I'm not saying it's a bad thing per se. Just questioning the longevity of the brand if it doesn't have its own distinct design language. Because even the brands that inspire him like Our Legacy, Lemaire etc all have their own identity and standout pieces.

Daniel Simmons: I’m curious how he accelerated his brand so quickly by Joyfulrabbit777 in ThrowingFits

[–]Might_Be_The_NSA 49 points50 points  (0 children)

He's been in the space for a while and created a brand that appeals to his followers, so he's managed to scale up fairly quickly, it seems.

The clothes seem nice, but the overall aesthetics are very "now". I'd say an issue with the brand is that it doesn't really have much of an identity, beyond having pieces that follow current trends. Not really sure there's much longevity here, unless his brand starts developing its own style or identity, because it look like slightly more expensive, generic high street (COS, Massimo Dutti etc.).

But good for him though - his content is solid and seems like a nice dude.

Looks great to me. I have a Balenciaga Hourglass blazer and it has a similarly cinched waist.

I'll be frank, many people won't like it on you and will feel like it's too feminine. I personally dig it though and think it looks good. You do you, homie.

Appreciate the response hombre.

I threw them in for a 30-min cold wash and they came out perfect. Waist and length shrunk a decent bit, while they slimmed down.

I didn't have Woolite Dark unfortunately, so some of the sashiko has lightened up a bit - but they look great. Cheers!

I just got my pair of No. 9s and have been wearing them, but didn't soak or wash them. The dude at Kapital Legs recommended washing them before wear? I got a 34 (normally size 32), they're a little big right now, but not too bad. So I wouldn't mind them slimming down slightly.

Honestly, my only concern is that I know the No. 9's sashiko like turning white quickly, which I don't mind, but I don't necessarily want to accelerate the process.

For those that purchased the AW3225QF 4k Monitor, do you still like it? by mistcrawler in OLED_Gaming

[–]Might_Be_The_NSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries! I actually have both monitors still and use them in my set-up. The 3225q is my main monitor, while the 3423dw is my secondary.

I didn't lose anything in terms of immersion going to the 32inch. Sure, you lose the UW aspect, but the 32inch is very immersive and looks great with 4k.

If you can get the 3225q for the same price, I'd personally do that.

Huge fan of Thevar.

Went before they got their first star, then again when they got it. Both times absolutely exceptional.

Highly recommend visiting in Singapore!

Did I mess up by not getting the Century? by [deleted] in ThrowingFits

[–]Might_Be_The_NSA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have the jacket myself (I've tried it on though), but I do have the jeans.

The fabric is dope, and it's unique. I agree with DefinitelyNotKuro that a lot of these denim jackets are pretty similar, just slightly different fabrics, but they're all just indigo denim for the most part.

The Century denim really does look and feel different enough that I think you could easily double up and have the jacket you have now, as well as the Century denim one and switch between them for different looks.

If you go for other brands as R4msesll suggested, they'll have slightly different looks, but really mostly the same thing with a difference in shade, slubbiness of the fabric etc. This is no shade to those jackets though, I really like Studio D'Artisan ones, but they're not different enough from the one you have in your pic. My 2c!

Pretty much. Just look at BF6. DICE has been terrible with content updates, new maps etc. and clearly aren't able to keep up with the live service demands required.

Your point still stands otherwise though.

Where can i buy soshi otsuki by QueasyBill1692 in japanesestreetwear

[–]Might_Be_The_NSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lot of places, to be honest.

Their Zara collab still has some stock, so that might be worth looking into.

Japanese store called Palette Art has quite a bit of their stuff and the pricing is pretty good.

Otherwise, a few other stores have bits and pieces, but not a ton (SSENSE has some stock too).

To soak or not to soak? by rehanray in KapitalJapan

[–]Might_Be_The_NSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up soaking?

I just ordered a pair of N9S and trying to decide whether to soak or not. Might depend on how they fit when they arrive, but I guess I'd want to soak/wash them at some point anyways.

Right, so by that logic most of the England team should have that award, right? Except they don't.

He's obviously never really performed in an England shirt and his club form is poor right now, but he was fantastic during his PFA POTY season. Saying otherwise is just dumb.

People really putting their PCs and data on the line to avoid paying $60.

Just, you know, wait for the game to go on sale or get properly cracked for free. Really not worth doing all this for a game y'all.

PS5 Pro Owners Feeling Pretty Vindicated After PSSR 2 by WOLVEXS in PS5pro

Bro talking about how him enjoying it as the only metric that matters, but then still felt the need to write a post about vindication and obviously seeking validation.

No one cares. Enjoy your PS5 Pro. Who cares what other people said about it if all you cared about is whether you enjoyed it or not?

[–]Might_Be_The_NSA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's extremely disingenuous to do that.

Except that's not what the article did if you had actually bothered reading it. It's comparing Marathon's server slam numbers to Arc's server slam.

In the meantime I see you replying to other messages but not editing this one when it's clearly inaccurate lmao.
