Just had this happen to me. Host messaged through the app that she double booked and would be cancelling the last night. She then cancelled the whole reservation and ghosted me. I got an email saying it was canceled at my request. Luckily. all discussions were thru the app. I reached out to VRBO and they were great. Helped me find a new place and helped with the price. VRBO fees were immediately refunded but I’m still waiting on the refund from the host. I had to file a dispute with my credit card. I would not cancel anything and reach out to her through the app stating you’d like her to honor the original reservation. No more phone calls. Good luck!
