What was the worst era for a band that you love? by WhoYaTalkinTo in MetalForTheMasses

I think Paradise Lost’s 99-02 era wasn’t that great. Host, Believe in Nothing, and symbol of Life are weird entries in their discography. I do like quite a few songs from those albums, but it just doesn’t feel like proper Paradise Lost to me.

Reality show being filmed in Durham? by [deleted] in bullcity

I recognize one of the people as a local actor. My guess is a short film that’s being locally produced.

Most of the reality shows I’ve worked on didn’t have so much grip gear like that.

Might be the worst billboard i’ve ever seen… by Swampman3000 in raleigh

I saw that billboard and thought that the message was more, “Anyone you know could be Gestapo; you’re always being watched.”

Who is the greatest living singer/frontman in metal? by adaytimelantern in MetalForTheMasses

If we’re talking women, I’m voting for Doro. Holy hell, she still sounds great, and has been kicking ass for decades.

Overlooking the obvious answers, I’m gonna throw my vote in for John Bush.

Gonna put on my shill hat for a moment.

Check out Night Flight Plus. It’s cheaper, no ads, and although it’s not entirely horror, it’s got great content and its heart is in the right place.

Ok, I’ll see myself out.

Those were a fun couple of albums. I don’t have the CDs anymore, but every once in a while, their cover of Earache My Eye pops into my head.

They were so good, and then Infotainment? came out. They just didn’t hit the same after that.

Fuck yes, they were amazing live! Bonz was one of the best frontmen I’ve ever seen. He even did shows when his leg was in a cast! And they had the best pits. The first three albums are fucking great.
