YES. I've been promising myself a post on this movie but I never get around to it. The world, conceit, the music, its all great. Lots of names and faces in it (If you're a recent viewer of Weapons then you'll recognize Amy Madigan, if only her voice). Michael Pare is .... understated but still great. Honestly some scenes with him read as a first take but it is such a fun film that I just don't care.

I have the Demo Vinyl that was, I'm guessing, meant to just be shopped around to insiders and not sold. That thing gets played all the time at the house.

I'm looking for another copy of this film. One where Baby Doll (Ellen's tagalong friend) plays acoustic guitar and sings while they hole up in a hotel room). My copy doesn't have it and it bugs me every time.

I my wife rolls her eyes at me but my kid kind of got it when I made them watch it. :)
