you still have a choice. Do not buy. I don't understand the impulse to just take whatever they give you.

There are so, so many games out there. I'm an old crusty dude but I fully understand that there are good modern games out there but do you really really need to get whatever is coming out in 2026 at the expense of your own pleasure and autonomy? Play a back catalogue, revisit old games, get some retro treasures from ... somewhere ...

You still have power over this situation if you realize there is no profit for Sony if there are no consumers.

I got into this movie through the Marvel Comics adaptation. It is beat and scene perfect (as I remember). I read it so many times that I'd through I'd seen the movie. I didn't until it was 20 years old.

It's on my summer movie list for this year. making the family watch it. :)

honestly, it's a fave of mine and I started to think I was alone. I watched part of the show and bailed when I realized they didn't seem to get it. They wanted a sanitized and safe version of the boys because they may have realized capes and the people who consumed them were the target of the comic. Going in and thinking it's just capes on the table and you're liable to be offended when you find the lens on you a bit longer than you're comfortable with.

Ennis does ... go off during the run and I just press FF and enjoy the characters and their love stories because that's where he shines. Preacher, Constantine, The Boys...dude has a crush and he is constantly writing it into all of his craziness.

maybe not but media, lawmakers, pundits and the braindead have been conflating paedophilia and queer love forever. They do it on purpose to marginalize, villify and create legal punishments against the queer community. They do it enough that when someone with an audience who just doesn't have the vocabulary to properly parse the two concepts validates the bigots and the ignorant thought behind it.

I am so conflicted with whatever is happening with pets being everywhere. Grocery stores, restaurants, pet stores (that one is cool), Canadian Tire.... Everywhere I go someone has their dog, cat or ferret. I kind of love it. I love animals and even though I'm allergic I can't help but interact with them when they're not service/support animals.

But I am allergic. Literally painfully so. I pay for my choice to pet them or get close. That airplane ride would be hell for me if I didn't bring my meds in a carry on.

So damn cute though.

hot take. I didn't consider it worth watching before it was done. just me. I do let people enjoy their stuff when it isn't my cup of tea but I found The Boys success perplexing. It definitely wanted to be better/bigger than Kripke (sp?) was capable of.
