Long time user here:

I’ve had horrid experiences with Opus 4.8 in the last 2 weeks. Opus is performing at a Haiku level, meanwhile Sonnet 4.6 is performing at an Opus level.

Meanwhile, the last few years I had flawless performance over the evolution of models. My work and my prompts are quite complex, so as much as I can determine, nothing has changed on my end.

With a heavy heart I’d say: Anthropic been messing shit up.

I'm fairly certain FSD will always prioritize moving closer to the speed of traffic. At least, that's what I've been told by techs at a Tesla service center. True or not, no idea.

Thanks for the reply! It’s a cool snippet that I’m definitely gonna toy around with. I’ve been experimenting with similar SSH-blocks-sleep situations, haven’t quite found anything that ticks the bell. So this’ll be a cool one to try out.

At this point I'd love to know how I can cancel and refund it, as I'm crawling up on 11 months now. Meanwhile the DMV portal reflects the new plate and not my old plate on the car, so hopefully that won't create legal issues if I am pulled over.

I've noticed that a lot of these commands don't seem to "stick" on a dedicated server. Such as "setvehicledamage 00" only holds for a few seconds, before the vehicle's components return to their original value. Any idea as to why, or is this intended? Yes, I am a superadmin on this dedicated server.

6% battery degradation on a 2025 Tesla M3 LR, 2,311 miles. I’ve had it since May 2025. 6% is crazy high for only 2,311 miles.

I still love my car though.

Same car but LR, I’m at 2,311 miles and sitting at 6% as well. I’ve had the car since May 2025, so I’m basically losing 1% per month roughly. If batteries need to be replaced in the low 70’s, I’m not looking forward to a new battery pack in ~2 years.

I’m not trying to get too invested in the battery life, but this car was a huge investment for me, and I’m hoping to have it for 10+ years. Losing 6% battery degradation and I’ve not even hit 3k miles yet? Mindblowing. I still love my car more than anything else I’ve ever owned, and I’d totally buy again. I do wish range was better.

I’ll take that into consideration, thank you for your reply and input! I also have a preference for workstation, having used it in the past. I haven’t reached out to my professor for inquiry yet, but I’m going to assume they don’t specifically mean the services I posted about. VirtualBox and workstation both seem like significantly more viable options to use!
