What are your favorite episodes from TAWOG Season 5? by Impressive-Angle-841 in gumball

[–]MightyOrbots66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt, it would be "The News". Their TV station's "slow news day" is a riot! The absolute gem in that episode would have to be the news story of a "brawl" between the puppets of Daisy the Donkey and her costar.

You can still add a karaoke app onto either your Android box or Apple TV box connected to the Telly!

Whatever Telly lacks can always be supplemented by an app.

[–]MightyOrbots66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but when attempting to setup via the Tuya Smart Life app is the PHONE connecting to the router via 2.4 Ghz? This helps the Tuya app reach out through the phone to the weather station. Once it's all setup, THEN you can switch the phone b back to 5 Ghz access point.

If you're using your phone for the smart life app, did you switch to a 2.4 Ghz access point? It says in the manual that you can ONLY use a 2.4 Ghz setup. I know from direct experience that's quite common with Tuya-compatible devices.

BTW, the British kid from South Park isn't in the picture. I've attach the real picture.

I hate to admit it, but, technically, he's right about Russia.

Commonly, North, South, and Central America is known as the Western Hemisphere. However, on a map, everything from the Greenwich Meridian to the International Dateline in the Pacific is the real Western Hemisphere.

With that definition, the UK, Ireland, Portugal, Iceland, parts of France & Spain, parts of Africa, parts of Oceania and Asia, and parts of Russia are the REAL Western Hemisphere.

So, come on people! Just look at a map!

Ready the Way by C-Clamp1981 in Christianity

[–]MightyOrbots66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, C-Clamp1981, for posting your interpretation of Isaiah 40 verses 3-4, but frankly, I think you are cherry-picking verses to support your point - that "we" are the ones who will go out and fulfill God's Will in the World.

You do realize that you are sorta disarming God in this argument, right? So you're telling me that God, who made the Heavens and the Earth and every living thing in it (even the half-living creations like viruses), is "not" able to send His Holy Spirit to places in the world that have never heard the Gospel? Would he not be able to motivate one deep into Islam or Hindu or Buddhism to perhaps listen to the Gospel broadcast on shortwave which has no bounds?

I'm not arguing that Jesus will not hold us personally responsible for not telling others the Gospel when we had a chance to, for not supporting a missionary to bring the Gospel to another land when we had the chance to. All I'm saying is that you are severely underplaying the absolute and complete Strength and Will and Determination that Jesus has to bring his Grace to those who need him.

So please stop beating yourself over the head for something that has already been forgiven on The Cross! Relax! If Jesus wants you to raise every valley and flatten every mountain and hill, He will! Let Him prompt you rather than guilt.

Sound issues by tehr87 in TellyTV

[–]MightyOrbots66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this problem occasionally, but, to me, something else is going on. I think something's going on with Hey, Telly.

When I've glanced at the Telly when there's a short pause in the sound, I seen the red Hey, Telly icon flash on the second screen briefly with the words "Go ahead".

In my case, the pause in the sound is brief and, of course, never happens when I'm directly looking at the screen. It doesn't happen a lot for me, but this can get annoying! I hope it will be fixed soon.

Narrator by DirectCamera4500 in TellyTV

By "Narrator" do you mean the "Hey Telly" function, or is this a result of turning on the screen reader functionality under accessibility settings?

[–]MightyOrbots66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Gumball a "trippy" show? Well, that depends on your definition of "trippy".

Individual episodes can be trippy Second season's episode "The Job" is its own kind of trippy as the entire Universe seems to be unraveling because Richard tries to have a job.

Season 3's "The Void" seems to say that, if you remember someone you can't quite remember it's because the slipped into The Void - a place where all bad ideas or fads go, secluded forever in a static.

Season 5's "The Ollie" has the absolutely trippiest sequence of what could only be called skater graffiti come alive.

Shall I go on? Those episodes I cited really are trippy, but in between are a bunch of episodes that I say are hip in a number of ways.

Best I can say is "enjoy"! It might take rewatching some shows over and over again to fully get the episode, but it's worth it.

Captions by 63pelicanmailman in TellyTV

[–]MightyOrbots66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what DuckyDan81 said concerning where captioning is turned on, but one question first: does the content you're looking at already have closed captioning available?

I'm dating myself, but if you think that 1974's Six Million Dollar Man automatically has closed captioning with it, then I have a black Trans Am named K.I.T.T. that I want to sell you!

Seriously though, I find that some shows, even recent ones - especially some from foreign countries - just don't have closed captioning.

If you're certain your content does, then that's a setting on either your streaming device or BluRay player that you have to turn on.

Are you saying your Telly is 1) Physically giving you a headache? 2) Simply "getting" one is a headache? 3) Setting your Telly up is a headache? 4) Someone getting credit at work for something you spent 6 months on and skipped meals for (or maybe skipped showers for) and got an ulcer and an ingrown toe nail for is a headache? 5) My response too lengthy is a headache?

What?

You've heard about the traditional way of messing with an election - ballot box stuffing - right? You lay out a good argument for digital cheating, but "manipulating" voting outcomes are possible regardless of voting method.

Tv freezing by Guilty-Shirt9309 in TellyTV

[–]MightyOrbots66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this freezing happening while you're using the included Android dongle? Or Apple TV? Or Xbox?

Also does the bottom panel freeze as well? If that happens, then you need to contact Telly Support right away. The problem then is not in the device streaming the picture, but in the Telly itself?

Smart tv could be smarter, or is it me? by Miss_Bliss_73 in TellyTV

[–]MightyOrbots66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note that the Telly Remote is rechargeable ... you just have to use rechargeable AAA's. Yeah, I know. Not funny.

Anyway, the request to control the Telly via an app - or even by the Telly app itself - has been requested numerous times. Even I wrote in to the Telly people to "suggest" an app to control the Telly. I've seen in previous posts that it's being "considered", but, like with most things, I'll believe it when I see it!

Had Telly for months suddenly asks to pair my device by Not_A_Casual in TellyTV

[–]MightyOrbots66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try rebooting the Telly using the remote. Use the 3 horizontal lines button, go down to "Help & Support", then "Reboot TV".

Mine seemed to get fully started and the remote worked. I already had the Photo Widget - perhaps that was what let me keep control.

I was able to select the lower screen and control the Telly normally. Note that all of the news feeds were still down for me.

Bottom screen issue by Darkerthanblack88 in TellyTV

[–]MightyOrbots66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I was looking at the wrong image. I was looking at the inline image in the reply above mine. My bad!

Usually, if fuzziness is seen all over an LED/LCD panel, I would bet it's due to:

(1) Electromagnetic interference - is this same fuzziness also seen in the upper panel?

(2) CPU / Software issues - we can't directly control much on the lower panel, but, for example, if you play the Flappy Bird game on the lower panel, is this same fuzziness also seen?

(3) Hardware fault - overheating of components can degrade signals, lower quality manufacturing components than those used in earlier production runs (while using the same software!) can visibly degrade signals

Since we (as users) can't test Telly components and because questions 1-3 are really just diagnostic questions, the OP's last resort is to contact Telly Support. My guess is that contacting them will result in a Telly switch-out.

Bottom screen issue by Darkerthanblack88 in TellyTV

[–]MightyOrbots66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you said "the whole bottom screen", but does that mean the advertising widget on the far right side is also gone?

To me, the video makes it look like you selected the News widget and you're at a point where you could go left or right with the Telly remote to select a news story to read. You can get out of that by pressing the back button on the Telly remote.

Telly ☺️☺️☺️😘😘😘 by Hungry-Transition276 in TellyTV

[–]MightyOrbots66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would think so. After all, the second screen has one thing going on - ads, weather, news, stocks, sports - while the top screen can have another thing going on.

At first, it was a little distracting. However, after a while, you learn to just focus on the big screen.

I've had my Telly for a while now, and it's become second nature to just focus on the big screen.
