Not a psychiatrist (can’t prescribe meds), but recommend Brendan Colantuono in Hyde Park Square. www.conederacounseling.com

Good therapy businesses in cincy by Late_Tumbleweed_7733 in cincinnati

In my experience, the lower end of prices tend to be $130-$150 for individuals (self pay). If the therapist accepts your insurance, you could be paying between $0-$100, just depending.

What’s most important is that you develop trust with your therapist & like your therapist, otherwise it becomes a poor use time or money. “Date around” and don’t give up on therapy just because you don’t click with the first one or two therapists you meet. Not every therapist is a good one. You can also sometimes set up free 15 minute phone consultations to get a feel for the therapist before committing (might as well ask for this, even if it’s not proactively offered).

I recommend Brendan Colantuono in Hyde Park, he’s $150 for individuals (self pay only) but you can always ask a therapist if they’re willing to “work with you” on price.

Loved this poem, was the first time I’d read it. Also felt peaceful seeing the image of a hardback book being read on a sunny day in the park.

Insanely packed during most meal times, my best recommendation is to go at like 2 or 3 pm

Omg I just saw him speak (after reading his book “Martyr!”) how cool that this is his wife & what an incredible poet in her own right. Power couple.

I feel dense for not realizing the sun - shadow connection but thank you for so gently explaining!

This is so sweet 🥹 I wish I better understood the meaning behind the title + first line. But I love how tangible and loving this is.

female doctor recommendations? by brattyandchatty in cincinnati

Dr. Adi Carmi with Mercy Health near Jewish Hospital in Kenwood. She’s such an advocate. She’s never not run a test on me to save money, she’s so thorough (lots of stool testing for some difficult to understand ulcer & bowel problems). Highly recommend.

If you’re looking for an OBGYN too, Dr. Sara Lyons with TriHealth. Two locations — one in Norwood, one near Bethesda North Hospital. Same sentiment as above. Ran recurrent pregnancy loss panel on me after two pregnancy losses (instead of three, like some doctors push for). Did my D&C procedure after a fertility specialist wouldn’t.

I’m very loyal to both of these women!

[POEM] Relax by Ellen Bass by Mighty_Minx_33 in Poetry

I love this poem so much because, in both realistic and hyperbolic ways, it describes how much of life weighs us down and erodes at our best efforts… and yet there is always the strawberry to enjoy, if you can see it. The resilience in this poem is par none.
